What do beta blood tests indicate?

Hi everybody, After almost 5 years of ttc I finally got my BFP, although very happy I'm still in shock, (Not really used to seeing BFP's, unlike my long experience with all those BFN's) so I'm really still in a disbelieve stage I think?!
I got my hcg beta blood tests back, it was 428 at 16dpo, I know its good but does it indicate anything? My doctor doesn't want to repeat them cuz he says the number is good, he just scedulled an u/s after 2 weeks, he says this will give us a better idea. should I repeat the test somewhear else? and what exactlly does it indicate? or should I just wait for my u/s?

High beta at 16 dpo suggests that it probably increased normally since implantation.  Good luck on your u/s in 2 weeks and congrats on your bfp!!!

That is good numbers. I would sit back and relax, it's true the u/s will show more.
