When AF comes they know you are not pregnant and have to check for potential side effects of clomid, such as ovarian cysts. The visit is very quick and then your doc will give you anither prescription if everything looks good.
I am taking clomid for the very first time. Is a rapture cyst dangrous? How can you tell if a cyst is raptured?
Some women are prescribed clomid because they do not o on their own. Women like me that do o on their own are prescribed clomid to purposely overstimule the ovaries to produce more than the normal amount of eggs to increase the chance for conception. Your levels of FSH/Lh/E2 are often checked after dosing to ensure that it's not way overrboard. It is a good idea. Not all women will react the same to the meds so your dr is being cautious. If you don't o on your own, they will check to see if you did o. If so, they will probably keep the same dose. If not, they may increase it.
ok? is this ur ob or ur RE givin you clomid? usually for me when i took clomid i took 50mg the first month days 3-7 on cd14 i would go back for u/s to check if i had any mature follicles and i would get injected with a trigger shot or HSG to make me ovulate...a clomid check is just a follow up after you have ovulated and your about to have ur af they just want to make sure that everything is ok...overstimulating sometimes can cause like rapture of a cyst but i dont think this is your case..did you test with opk on your days you were suppost to ovulate? this month..im taking clomid again days 3-8 and 100mg i just got my af today so i will start thursday and i will be going for my u/s on july 2nd to see if i need a trigger shot..or if i will be ovulating on my own...ask your doctor if you can get an u/s on cd14 ...or maybe they will do an u/s on the clomid check day not sure every doctor i guess dosent different...for example my ob gived me clomid once and was like take this and ill see you in a month..i was like uhhmm ok! but with my RE is different they actually check in between to see if you do ovulate! GOOD LUCK! let us know what happens!
