Yea i think an RE is a great route to go!!! Its so much more convient to have the ultrasounds right there in the office! We've learned so much just in the three weeks i've been with our RE vs. my obgyn! My follie was 22mm which I was excited about, but of course now its 25mm and still not budging! grrr!! They thought I was Oing early on femara (one whole week early!) but of course my follie thought that was too early and is holding on longer even with a trigger! Good Luck!
Thanks for your help.. I am writing this down I need to talk to my dr. again.... I asked him if we should up the clomid to 100mg and he said no.. He said my progesterone levels were good (checked 1st cycle taking clomid) over 14.0 so he says I am ovulaing. I also asked if we could do u/s and he said he cant really do that in his office i would need to see the RE. I think if i do not get prego this cycle I will ask for the referral. I am tired of messing around with amatures!
My RE said that she wanted to see follies at 18mm. I take 150mg clomid on days 3-7. They started me at 100 then increased for the 2nd cycle. 1st cycle, I had 3 follies at 11, 8 and 7. This cycle, I had 2 at 27 and 15. I gave myself the trigger shot on cd12 and am patiently waiting for next week to take the pg test. This stuff is all new for me so I am not a whole lot of help. I am just telling you what my RE thinks. They probably all have different ideas. Good luck!
ooops....forgot to comment on follie size... my doc likes to see them around 20mm.
You usually o later on Clomid (at least that's what I've heard the girls say). Clomid can be used for different purposes: for me cd1-5 because I o on my own but wasn't getting pregnant so they used Clomid to cause more follicles to mature and then gave trigger shot to get them to release. For those who have trouble o'ing its usually given on cd5-9. A lot of people have to go to the 100mg level to get results, so don't be surprised if they up it. I would suggest doing BBT to help you determine when and if you o.
