What is this about Robitussin????

Hey guys....
Could someone tell me the deal with Robitussin?  I took another test this morning...and it was negative...again.  BOO HOO!  This past month was my first month on clomid 50 mg on days 3-7, an HSG, a trigger shot and timed intercourse.  I was suppose to test tomorrow, but I tested today (cheated) and it was negative...so I am so bummed and trying to rev myself up for another month.    My RE wants to do IUI this month if the timed intercourse didn't work.  I am thinking about asking him to give me ONE more month to try on my own.  Any thoughts from anyone?  I have heard so many success stories about Robitussin and I need to know if anyone out there has succeeded with it or has any thoughts on my situation!  Thank you ladies!

Using Robitussin worked great for me when I was on clomid.  Gave me wonderful EWCM and I concieved the month I tried it, so you might give it a shot.  IUI isn't too bad though, and it takes away a lot of the guessing game!!!  You wouldn't really need Robitussin or Mucinex theoretically if you were doing IUI.

Should I do the Robitussin along with the IUI to increase my chances?  Should I ask for one more month to try on our own with the Robitussin?  And how do i find the thread on this?  Thanks a bunch Sheri!

As I said, theoretically IUI wouldn't really be helped by Robitussin because you are bypassing the cervix with the catheter and cervical mucus isn't really an issue at that point.  Frankly, though, it never hurts, and I always used it anyways with IUI because I'm superstitious!

I'd suggest just doing mucinex instead of Robitussin.  It's the same thing, and you only have to take one mucinex pill a day.  Tastes much less yucky.  You only take them up until right before you ovulate and then stop.

i also found out that taking geritol tonic ups your chances conceiving.they say there is a baby in every bottle.it tastes gross but its worth it.not sure if it worked,i will know the 13th.i also took mucinex 12 hour release tabs from cd 4 till O i took evening primrose from cd1 to O ,green tea capsulescd1 to O.good luck to you.

Can I get this in a drug store?  What is it and where do I find it in the drug store?  Also, I took Mucinex once and it made me so shaky and wierd feeling.  You know that medicine-head thing, but I think it could have been a decongestant formula.  Did it keep anyone up at night?  Thank you in advance!

you should only be taking the mucinex or robitussin with only one active ingredient in it,,nothing else in it at all..as for the geritol tonic,you can get it at any drug store ,i got mine at walmart,its $2.59 and it lasts for 8 days.its terrible nasty tasting but will be well worth it.you find it in the vitamin section..so when you get mucinex,i recommend the tablets,not liquid,there more expensive but you dont have th nasty taste,also i get the 12 hour release capsules and i take one a day,some take 2,depends on your CM. the most important thing is to look on the back to make sure it has only the one active ingredient,it starts with G,cant remember the name.,good luck to you.keep me posted and if you have anymore wuestion,i will try to get back to you asap..

I actually already have this Mucinex in my medicine cabinet.  It does have only the one active ingredient (that starts with a G) and it is the 600 mg.  Thanks so much for your insight!  I really appreciate it!  One more thing, did you take yours at night?  Can't remember if it made me tired or wired!! HAHA!
