What to count as CD1 for clomid?

Hello everyone

I have to start clomid this cycle day 5-9. AF came yesterday and it was reddish-brown (mostly brown) with small clots. Flow was light (but more then spotting) I only had to use one pad. Today I am having medium flow and red blood.

Should I count yesterday as CD-1 or today?

Thanks :)

Just wanted to add my input ladies,I took clomid last month for the first time and my period is never that heavy its always light and only lasts at most 3 days.So i count my cd1 as soon as i have any spotting however light it may be.Hope that helps.Waiting for a BFP this month like we all are SSBD xx

I was the same, so i rang the hospital and they said that if i didn't get any heavier after 12pm, that the day after would be day 1, so that's what i did but the period didn't really get any heavier over the next 4-5 days anyway, it's just that the second day was slightly heavier than the first so that was my starting day. Hope that helps :)

Hi Marimaq,

Did you start bleeding after midday?? If you did it doesn't count as day one you count day one if bleeding starts before midday
