What's next?

I have pcos. I had my right ovary removed a year ago (pre-cancer). I had 5 fibroids removed in September and my remaining tube was check for blockage (none was found). I took a round of clomid last spring and got pregnant. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks, possibly due to the fibroids that I had at the time. My gynecologist sent me to a productive specialist that removed the fibroids and recommended 3 rounds of clomid and if no pregnancy, then back to him. I have taken 2 doses. I have used ovulation testing at home and did not get a positive result with  the first round post surgery. I got a positive ovulation test with the second round, but am not pregnant ( I have taken 4 at home tests). Is there some sort of test that my gynecologist can use with the clomid to see if I am ovulating? Iknow that women with pcos have irregular periods. I do not. I have a cycle every 25 days (except when taking the clomid). I am very regular with my cycles. Does this mean that I am ovulating. I, like alot of women have a time crunch. The oncologist tht removed my ovary said to "do what you are going to do as fast as you can and then have your other ovary removed."

Yes, there are ways to check if you ovulated. First of all, your doctor could have a progesterone blood test done around 7 days after you think you ovulated. A level over 10 means you ovulated. The second thing you could do is chart your temperatures (BBT charting). A clear and sustained rise in temperatures about midway through your cycle indicates you ovulated.

Yes, there sure is as heather said.. also to get even more detailed my RE documents ovulation by ultrasound.. so we use ovulation stimulation drugs the first half of the cycle - ultrasound to see how many follies, use the trigger injection and then go in a few days later to see if all of the follicles have ruptured and actually released the egg.. typically mine don't release.. i have been diagnosed with mild PCOS as well, and always have periods every 30 days and don't have any of the other symptoms.. i've been on metformin for a few cycles and really notice a dfiference, so maybe you can mention that to your dr as well.. I only have one functioning ovary as well, but we've gotten preg with the help of the dr's twice (miscarried) but it at least is possible! : )  GOOD LUCK! :)
