Hey.I too am from Mumbai.I stay in Mumbai.I have been ttc for 13 months with no result.I have done my pelvic ultrasound, hormone test and husband's semen analysis and all look perfect.I go for a laproscopy on this Saturday to find out the exact cause for the delay.I guess you should find out some good gynac in your city and visit her first. She would do the initial tests and hopefully that may solve your problem.Wish you good luck....

Yes we were more or less on similar cycles.I however started af yesterday ending a 27 day cycle and entering into a new one.I had been postponing laparoscopy for a very long time but have now decided to go for it.Spoke to my gynac this morning and fixed it up for Saturday. She has asked me not to worry about it and that it would not be very painful. She wants to check the internal organs and see if there is any blockage. For how long have you been trying??

April completes 1 year of trying. I did a lap in Oct.As usual everything was fine but still not conceived. I've also had 3 failed IUIs (Sept 06,Jan 07 and Mar 07). Am waiting for AF now and will be doing IVF this cycle. Am really apprehensive about it and excited too.Shall keep u posted. What treatments have u had?

I have finished 3 cycles on clomid and two on letrozole.I knew these may not be too helpful because I was already ovulating on my own.I go for laparoscopy on Saturday. My doctor has asked me to take letrozole this cycle as well. She would be performing the lap on cd 7 and wants me to be prepared for bd around cd 13 and 14.I am keeping my fingers crossed.I really hope the problem is sorted out after the laparoscopy. All the other tests like pelvic ultrasound, hormone test and semen analysis came back with good results so the cause for infertility is yet to be diagnosed.I have turned 30 this year and need the baby badly.

Oh yeah,I would love to  have a baby ASAP but don't stress about your age. I know its easier said than done.Sometimes even I lose it....thinking am already 30 and no baby in sight. But then I get back on track. Who is your doc? I have full faith that this IVF cycle will work...trying to be positive. But I have also thought that in the event this does not work out I am planning to do my next cycle with Dr. Malpani.

I agree.I know i am young and energetic. But i myself want to complete my family as soon as possible now.I know it requires a lot of energy to bring up a child. My sis-in-law is 33 and has a 2 year old daughter. She says she is completely drained out of energy running after the toddler. So before we lose out on our energy levels, its better we finish off with these responsibilities isn't it?

Hey. I turned 30 in feb too. I must tell you  its just an Indian thing to dread being 30 and not yet a MOM. We are still young. So  don't fret about it.

Is Dr.Malpani really good?I have better feedbacks about Dr.Sadhna desai. She is said to be the mother of IVFs.Another very well known specialist is Dr.Rustom Soonawala in Mumbai. One of my friends has had a success with Sadhna Desai recently.Right now i am not under any of these specialists.I would first wait for my laproscopy results and then think about the next step. How was your lap procedure?was it painful? How long did it take?

Well,I had a good lap experience. They knocked me out and the procedure was over in less than 45 mins( I heard). However,I woke up only 2 hours later once the anesthesia effect had kinda gone down. They did wake me up a couple of times before wheeling me out of the OR and I vaguely remember that but I fell back to sleep almost immediately. I went home about an hour after I woke up and walked myself to the loo. They said they wanted to see if I would faint and stuff like that. I was a little sore for that day.Next day I was fine except when you touched the belly button part- but it was not like a great pain or anything. It went off great. They made only 2 tiny punctures-hardly noticable. Do you have any website links to the docs that u mentioned? I just know about Malpani coz they have a great website with everything you would ever want to know about having a baby and I have an American friend who went there and had a pleasant time.

Hey.We better chat over emails. You can mail me at divs_19us***@**** .And no i cannot tell you abt the websites for these docs.only thing i know is that Dr. Rustom Soonawala practices at Breach candy Hospital in Mumbai.Dr.Sadhna Desai has her own clinic at Gamdevi in Mumbai and takes delivery cases at Breach candy and Bombay Hospital. However u need to be really patient for getting her appointment.Have you done your husbands SA?
