What's your morning fix while ttc?

I was wondering if anyone else drinks green tea.  I drink decaf green tea almost every day and I'm wondering if I shouldn't be drinking it during the luteal phase.  I see mixed reviews on when to drink it.  When I see mixed reviews I always figure better safe than sorry and I stay away.  However, I really need some sort of hot drink in the morning and I need to know how everyone else gets through their mornings?  I know decaf still has a little caffeine but it seems to be just enough to get me through it.  I don't drink sodas, I don't like sugary drinks and I definitely won't do any diet drinks.

Mmmmm, coffee........coffee coolatta......... LOL - Some reason I'm sounding like Homer Simpson lately.   (I was hooked on coolattas at one point)  I never tried decaf coffee but I read that caffeine thins out your uterine lining so that's what made me try and really stay away from it.

That's a good idea to do the half and half thing.  Thanks!

I still drink my coffee. I use 1/2 caffeine. My OB says 2 cups of regular isn't going to hurt anything, so I can have 3-4 of 1/2 caffeine :)

Doh!! Why didn't I think of that, just try another kind of tea, or even regular decaf tea.

Thanks!!

How about trying the decaf black teas? I don't think they have any side effects.

UGGH!! I didn't know it depleted the folic acid.  Well, that seems to defeat the purpose of me taking the prenatals now.  I think I may have to abandon the green tea altogether then.  I'm going to be a mess in the mornings.

Thanks!!

Don't know about TTC, but once you are pregnant, I know green tea is supposed to be bad in your first trimester, because it depletes the folic acid, which is very much needed to prevent spinabifida and other things.
