Thanks for the responses! :) I've always heard that it leaves your system 1000iu everyday, but was still curious b/c I've never had the hcg as a booster before. Tankerchic- I know how heartbreaking that would be to be getting false +ve's all the way to 14 dpo and then have AF arrive! :( Were your tests getting lighter at all? I did take a test last night, and it was faint positive and then took one again this morning, still positive but about half the lightness of the one I took yesterday so I don't think i'm pregnant... :(
Oh girl I know your frustration. I'm right there with you. This cycle and last cycle I did the hcg booster shots and it is complete torture for me not to be able to test.
I always heard the 1000iu a day as empty said, but I don't think that is true after my last cycle. My last cycle I did 10,000iu 36 hours before IUI. Then 2,000 1dpiui, another 2,000 4dpiui and another 2,000 7dpiui. So if 1,000 leaves your system per day, than I should have been able to test as soon as 9 or 10 dpiui. I got false positives all the way to 14dpiui and then AF showed up that evening. I found another web page that said it drops in half every day.
The cycles I have had before, when I only used hcg only to trigger ovulation and no boosters, it was always out of my system by 10days after shot. Since yours was a lower dose (2,500 instead of 10,000), you may be able to test sooner but there probably is a chance of false positive.
When I was getting all the false positives with FRER, I did get a negative with FRER digital. Maybe you could try that.
Best of luck, I hope you get a TRUE BFP!!
Hi there - the rule i go with is 1000iu should leave your body every day. I did a 10,000iu as my trigger shot and when I tested 12 days later it was all gone.
Good luck and I hope this is a BFP for you on the way.
