I have to be seen again in two days but I can remember what the nurse said after she said congratulations. I'm assuming they will do an ultrasound and more blood work to see if the numbers continue to increase??? How soon can they tell how many babies were produced. I only did IUI two days in a row, which to me sounds like it would increase the chances of multiples. Anyone know what are thte next steps?
I would like to hear about your story also!
Congrats to all who have received a BFP and SSBD to those who are TTC...Keep your head
Thanks!!! It's amazing how this all happened so fast. And the news through me for a loop, especially after thinking that we may have to do several rounds of IUI. I guess I fit in with the first timers that get a BFP with their first IUI. Do you know when they make the switch from the RE to the OBGYN?
Congrats on your little bundle...you had a cute express delivery
After my FET, they called with my BFP (which was the most amazing day of my life!!) and then I went in two days after that for another blood test to make sure my levels were rising nicely. Then I went in a week and a half later for one more blood test, again to make sure the hcg levels were increasing.
The next step after that is to go in for an ultrasound at 6 weeks. That's when they can tell how many babies you are carrying. With us it was just the one perfect little guy! :)
At our clinic, the RE sees you for the first ten weeks, then you switch to your regular OBGYN. My first appointment with my OB was at 12 weeks.
Hope this info helps and BEST of luck to you! We tried for seven years and now I'm 24 weeks along!! It's SO fun and an amazing journey!
