A strong woman won't let anyone get the better of her…
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.
A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future…
A woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected blessings and capitalizes on them.
A strong woman wears a look of confidence on her face
A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…
But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.**************************************************************************

;( That's really hard. How did the chicken work out? It's funny, I haven't been able to cook chicken since I got pregnant. I can eat teriyaki chicken if it's cut
up in small pieces, but that's about it! I find that I'm mostly eating soup & cereal! :) I feel so much better. I think I've kicked my cold, but I'm still a little congested. I did read that it's normal in pregnancy to be congested, though, so who knows?! Lately, for the past 2 weeks, I've been really nauseous in the evenings, to the point where I feel like I'm about to throw up. Then I'm fine for dinner... Strange! Yes, I hope you get your swine flu
are supposed to start being delivered to our area today, so I'm just waiting for the call from my ob's office...
Lina: Yay!!! I'm so happy for you & dh! Welcome to the iui club =) haha! I'm so happy to hear that eveything went well & we'll all be praying for a BFP in the next few weeks =) Take care!!!
luvkayln: Oh, I sure hope you're right! =) That's good to know you saw body parts at 16 weeks. That makes me feel more confident. I just wonder if there's less room in there, plus having two, if it'll make it more difficult to see... Fingers are tightly crossed! =) That is so neat that you saw Addy's foot pusing on your belly! How amazing is that! =) Hey, did you get Kayln's Fall decorations all set up? I know you had started, but were planning to do more. No pics yet... ;)
rachjas: Your new schedule is so exciting! It sounds like you're being well taken care of & everything will just fall into place :) I'm not sure what the Heparin is for, so I can't help you there. Maybe it's another name for something I took, though??
Candie: I know I'm not alone in saying that I miss you ;( Hope all's well!!!
Stacey: How is Jake doing? Update new pics soon =)
Keyan: How are you feeling? I can't wait til you start temping!!!
Luvkayln - I was wondering the same thing. In the past I just tested once every morning, never in the evening because my RE said there wasn't any sense to. I wonder if I should test at 7 am this morning? When I get up for work? Since that is the usual time that I have tested in the past? I'll try it and see. Maybe I should call my RE and also see what he thinks?
If I don't get my surge at at 7 I am going to have to run to the drug store and buy some more OPK's! I new there was a reason Wallgreens had a value pack one sale when I bought these ones......but I didn't get them......lol Cause I was sure I only would only need 7! haha. I will test at 7, since that is my usual time to test and see what I get. If it is still negative I am going to call my RE just to see what he says. DH leaves for work at 6ish and he needed enough time to call off, but I guess if I get a positive he will just have to leave. Well I'll let you ladies know.
Well it's time for me to get ready for work. I tested a 2nd time and it was still negative. So I will call my RE and see what he says.....
Mommyin10: Thanks for starting another thread!!! I'm glad you're feeling better :-) I'm always congested when I go to bed and then when I wake up in the morning. So I am blaming that on pregnancy lol! I saw where the shot form is available in certain counties in the state right now, but when I go to there website, only residents from those counties can get the shot :-( I was able to keep my chicken down last night!!! It actually tasted pretty good the way I cooked it, but I still don't want grilled food lol - I guess it's good that the weather is cold here already (high of 42 today with rain/snow)!!!
Ad: Sorry for the -ive OPK...hopefully tomorrow!!! Let us know what your RE says :-) Maybe you can go in for an u/s to see if you're close?
Rachjas: You're schedule is awesome!!! Just in time for Christmas!!! I would call your RE and see if maybe they forgot about the heparin or if perhaps you won't take it until your BFP (which will be soon!!!!)... Let us know!
Lina: Glad everything went so well yesterday!!! Here's to getting your BFP in 2wks!!!
AFM: DS's sitter called last night at 1130 and said her son who is 4 is running a 101.5 fever....Obviously the kids aren't going today. but she's thinking it's what my son had which was just that cough - but I told her last night the DS never ran a fever with it. Hopefully it's just a cold and not something more. I certainly don't want DS to get sick! He's fine at the moment now, so I guess only time will tell. FX he won't catch it!
Sooooo, I am convinced I am giving birth to a tazmanian devil lol!!! This little girl is sooo active! I'm going to record it one of these times b/c my whole dang belly moves all around!! It's a good sign though and it makes me feel good that I feel her move so much :-) I can't believe I only have 3 1/2 more months to go...where did the time go??!!?
Well, I'm home with DS today, so I'll log on when I get the time lol! Have a great day all!!!
kmcarino- Don't look into your numbers too much. I see what you are doing when you say that you got your numbers later than most other woman. You mind will go a million miles an hour trying to determine if they are high enough or if they should be higher. I did the same thing. Mommyin10's were higher than mine and she was only afew days ahead of me. I begged for my numbers to be high like hers thinking for sure that would be better and guess what... here I am starting out with low numbers that grew and grew into a little baby. My cousin's first number was 35, they told her she would likely lose the baby and guess what...Chase is 3 years old now. You numbers are just perfect for YOU! Congrats and enjoy as best as you can. The beginning can be soooo stressful. You wait and wait for that positive and then you worry if it's all going to pan out. It will and you'll be well on your way in no time at all.
Have a great day!!!
dnikki- Happy 22 weeks!
luvkayln- Did you ask the doc about the hiccups?
To All-
I got new clothes. My mom and I went shopping and had sooo much fun. Maternity clothes can be very tricky. I tried on a shirt that had a tanktop look under it and my... ta ta fell out! We were laughing so hard. I was convinced the shirt had a hole in it, then the other side fell out too. Mom nearly peed her pants laughing at me. Then...we saw the tag and it's supposed to do that! It is easy access for nursing. Man! The things they come up with. I got a pair of jeans for 20.00 at the Motherhood store and a dress and FOUR pairs of dress pants at Old Navy. They were 2 for 15.00. I am so excited and I feel sooooo much better. It really does make a huge difference. I recommend everyone find a couple good comfy outfits. It's changed my whole feeling about this.
Oh.. I still haven't feel the little pumpkin move... :( Should be soon though. We had a great heartbeat last night with the monitor so I know he's still in there. (yes I said he, I just know it's a boy)
Good morning ladies! I am still waiting for AF, driving me crazy!! I have a question....anyone ever tried Bromocriptine?? I am VERY curious about it, cause I am still producing prolactin and from what I have read it might help. Just wondering. Hope all the mommies 2 be are feeling well!! =)

luvkayln: Happy freakin 30 weeks!!! You're so close to meeting your little sweetie =) Wow!!!
ad_06: Sorry you're still having to wait! I know that's frustrating, but as soon as you see that smiley face, your whole mood changes!!! =) We're all pulling for you! I used to test in the a.m. and around 4 p.m. Sometimes I would catch the beginning of my surge in the afternoon. I agree that maybe you could get an u/s just to confirm that you are still in the "ready" mode :) Keep us posted!
dnikki: That's a bummer about your sitter's son. That's great, though, that you can stay home with ds and keep him healthy :) I just found out that when I take maternity leave, I'm entitled to 6 months off!!! It's either with or without pay, but I have been saving all my sick & vacation time since ttc & so, I should be fully covered! Woo-Hoo! I was really hoping to stay off with the babies as much as possible :) Haha! Peyton sounds like she'll be a handful =) How fun that you get to feel her moving so much! I'm the same way, I haven't had grilled food since I've been pregnant (and we normally grill ALL the time!) I did have a hot dog in the beginning, but I can't do steaks or chicken on the grill. I wish we had your weather. It rained the past few days, but now it's supposed to be in the high 80s this weekend! WTF?!
sbumblebeeo: Congrats on getting your first maternity clothes! That is awesome & I can totally understand what you mean about feeling totally different. I actually bought some maternity pantyhose for work & will try them today. The other ones felt like they were putting too much pressure on my belly. How funny about the shirt! I bought a new bra & didn't realize it was made for breastfeeding, too, til the front flap popped open one day! Oops =)
Sorry I've been away for a while. Everything is fine, although I'm having so much extra work to do and trying to find an apartment on top of doctor's appointments isn't leaving enough time to sleep. Not sure when I last reported, but I got my period at the beginning of the month, started on the drugs, and while there are fewer follicles than I usually have, the doctor says there are enough and they're evolving well, so we'll decide tomorrow if we'll do ivf this month. I had an appointment with the anesthesiologist this morning, and it was such a pleasure to be in a clean, well-run facility instead of the hospital. Will update at greater length over the weekend and wish everyone the best.
mommyin10- Heparin is an injection that is a blood thinner. I would be on it twice a day. From what I have been seeing on the interent, most don't start it until they get a BFP.
Added some new belly pics :-) I think she's still sitting pretty low - all her movement is about 2 inches below my belly button...Let me know what you guys think!
Dnikki: Aww!!! love your belly pics!! like I said on the note, I don't think it looks as low as it did before. ....I will be temping, but probably will try without doing OPKs.
Luvkayln: OMG OMG! ...as you might know, english is not my primary language, and sometimes is a little hard to express myself thru words, but I want you to know, that I am still in shock with your recent belly pic!! I don't know, I kind of got lost on your weeks, but you look so big, not in a bad way, but I didn't expect you to have such a big belly!! , please don't get me wrong, I am not saying you are fat, ok?! Happy 30 weeks!
Mommyin10: Yes, amiga, I started temping today! YAY!!....Happy 4 months!!
LinaG: keep up the positive attitude!! you will be up on the BFP list! it has to get longer!
Scripps: Sorry you have so much work. Can't wait for your update on your appt tomorrow. Hopefully with good news, I hope you can try IVF this time!! Good luck.
Ad_06: here is my cheer for O ..."Come on O, we are waiting, show yourself!!
Sbumblebleeo: going shopping is always exiting, especially for maternity clothes, can't wait for you update about feeling your baby move for the very firs time!
So like I told mommyin10, I started temping today, for the very first time since february, So you guys are all welcome to start cking it out, I think next weekend will be an O weekend, my hot flashes are all gone, my CM is back (I am pretty happy about this, is not fun being so dry down there, menoupase is not fun, except that there is no AF and no pains or cramps, ummmm it does sound like fun LOL) ....as you might all know, this will be my first cycle after Lupron and all dates are estimates, so all comments as to how my cycle is going and when you think I will be Oing are also welcome ;o)
Thanks ladies. I went to get more OPK's today. We live in a very small town, so Rite Aid is the only place that carries the smiley face ones. I bought their last box! The other ones I had I bought when I went to see the RE. I just tested again to see and it was also negative.
I called my RE today and talked to the receptionist and she scheduled me for a scan at 9:15am. So hopefully I'll wake up, get a smiley and have this done with! Having these past 6 months off drove me crazy, but the fact that I feel like I lost "touch" with my body is driving me just as crazy. Before, I could almost pinpoint when I was going to O.....this month has really threw me for a loop. We shall see tomorrow. I just hope this cycle is still "do able", since we had to take a loan to do it. We just borrowed enough for 2 u/s and the IUI.....so if it's not I will have to figure out how to pay for more u/s'.
I can't figure out what the problem could be!?! The only thing that I have done differently this time, is the cold I've had. I had taken some over the counter meds, but surely that wouldn't effect anything. Well I guess we will know something tomorrow. Keep you fingers crossed for me.
Happy Friday ladies! I hope you all have a great weekend. No smiley this morning! Hopefully the scan will give us a better idea. There is no way that I could have missed it, because it gives you the best 2 days and I haven't gotten a positive. So I guess the only way that I could have missed it is if it didn't register at all. I'll update as soon as I get home.
ad_06- when i was testing for my surge all the stuff i found said a good time to test is later in the afternoon. bewteen 12-2 because i guess most women start their surge closer to those times.
luvkayln- whats your hiccups quesiton? jaedyn used to hiccup in my belly at least 2 times a day. then when he was born he did it at least once a day. its so funny when they hiccup in your belly cause of the consistent and times movement.

scripps: I hope your appt today goes well! Be sure to update us as to whether or not you'll go ahead with IVF! :) Sorry you've been extra busy lately. Hopefully things slow down soon & you find an apartment :) Take care!
rachjas: Oh, okay! I was told to take baby aspirin for that purpose, but maybe heparin is more productive. I know when I went through my IVF cycle, the RE's office only gave their patients the info needed re: meds at the time they're needed, so as not to get overwhelmed. So, if you expect to take heparin, I suppose it's still a possibility :)
Keyan: It sounds like your body is back into baby-making mode! =) How exciting that you've started temping. I hope you do O this weekend & have a wonderful weekend!!!
ad_06: I agree. Even if you missed the beginning of the surge, you would have caught it the next morning! Good luck today! At least you'll have a better understanding on when you'll O after your u/s! Update asap!!! =)
Thanks for all the notes and photo comments ladies! You all are just SO sweet! :)
Keyan- OMG, your post made me laugh!! ;) Don't worry, everyone I talk to asks me when I'm due and when I tell them I'm being induced in 6-7 weeks, they look shocked! :) They're like "Are you sure you're not due tomorrow?!" lol Or " Are you sure there's only 1 in there?!" Haha!! I'm not one to get offended easily, even being pregnant! :) I love my big belly! It just reminds me of all my hard work to get it, and I feel blessed every time I look at it or feel my baby move! :)
Mommyin10- Thanks!!!! :) I can't believe I'm already at 30 weeks, with just 6-7 more weeks to go! It seems unreal, but I'm SO ready to get her here!! I'm excited that you're at your 16 week mark! Before you know it, you'll be half way done! :) Although technically you are half way done since you're being induced early too! ;)
Leighanne- Well, Kayln used to get the hiccups only once a day, but Adalynn has been getting them constantly, with 4 times a day being the most!! It's crazy! I just didn't know if that was normal or not?! I know every baby is different...
Ad_06- Good luck at your u/s today!! I hope it still shows some beautiful follies that are getting ready to go! :) Update asap!!
Scripps- Thanks for the update! :) Sorry you've been so busy lately, but I'm glad you're happy with the new place you're going and yayyyy, hopefully you can do IVF this cycle! Keep us posted!! We're all hoping for the best for you!! :)
Dnikki- Your pics sound cute! I'll check them out now! :)
luvkayln- its normal. i know people that their babies had them all the time. jaedyn had them 1-2 times a day for a good half an hour each time. they are practicing breathing when they get them mostly. i thought it was great cause it was funny to have my belly jump like that. but there were times when it was not always convienent like when i was at a meeting for work.
Just got home. I am out this cycle! I chose that though. I only have 1 good follie on the left, and it only measured 8mm.... I had alot of follies, but that was the biggest!?! He can't figure that out. Well he told me that I could wait 5 days and come back and see if it matured, or he could give me Provera....call in when I get AF and they will schedule a scan for day 12, and he upped my dose of Femara to 3 pills a day (7.5mg total) from days 3-7. So with money being limited I chose not to risk having to pay for another u/s that could lead to not having an IUI done this cycle anyway. Then not having the money for next cycle. I started the Provera, does anyone know about how long it will take for AF to come? I have never taken it before. I'm just glad that I went for a scan instead of waiting every day. But it's okay.....I'm happy with the plan :)
Leighanne- Thanks! :) I know, I love when she gets them, I think it's so cute! Sean can feel them too, so that's really neat! :) She mostly gets them after I eat, but sometimes she'll just randomly get them!
Mommyin10- I just realized that I never told you about Kayln's fall decorations! Oops! ;) I'm off tomorrow so I'm planning to go to Hobby Lobby and see if I can find any more cute stuff I want to give to her! I got her a pumpkin and I'm going to write on it, in pink of course! ;) I'm thinking of writing "Mommy's Lil' Pumpkin'!" What do you think?? I'll take pics, I promise! It's getting closer to Halloween now, so I can put her pumpkin out there tomorrow too. I think right after Thanksgiving I'll put out her Christmas stuff. I'm sad I have to add another baby name to her Christmas tree though. :( Just wait until you see the ornaments I bought for Kayln and Adalynn! (Big sis/little Sis) They're adorable! :) I ordered them, so when they get here I'll take a pic! :)
Ad_06- We must've been posting at the same time earlier! I'm sorry your cycle is being funky this cycle, but I definately agree you are making the right decision! :) I took Provera 1 time, and I think it was 7 pills and I started a couple days after my last pill. You may react different to it though and start sooner! :) I wonder why your biggest follie was only at 8? I'm sure by you getting your dose upped it will definately help and you won't have this issue next cycle! :) Ok, so we'll start doing an AF cheer for you!! ;)
luvkayln - I have never had a really funky cycle forever. My RE was really puzzled too. He said that I might not O this month for some reason. I knew I hadn't missed O cause my bbs weren't sore and they are always sore after O. I hope my body reacts to the provera, and that the increased Femara helps. We'll see. I've never been so anxious to get AF....lol
I am curious-for those of you whoa re pregnant, were you bloated in the early weeks of pregnancy? When did you start to feel morning sickness, nausea, sore boobs, fatigue?
Ad_06- I know it's normal to have an annovulatory cycle a couple times a year, maybe this is your month for that?? I'm sure your body will react just fine to the provera and AF will show very, very soon! Werid to think we are cheering for her, huh?! lol ;)
Kmcarino- I was bloated from the beginning... My other symptoms as you listed didn't show up until I was 6 weeks. Looks like we both have an u/s on Tuesday!
Well, I'm on my way to Hobby Lobby to get my little girl (My biggest little girl! :) some more fall decorations! I'm also going to get her pumpkin today and put it out there with her as well. I'll take some pics and post them!! I'll check in later! I hope everyone has a great weekend! :)

luvkayln: How fun that you're off today & shopping at your favorite place! ;-) I'm sure you'll find lots of cute decorations for Kayln & your pumpkin idea is adorable! I know, I'm sorry to hear you'll be adding another baby's name. It was a long stretch without any new babies... I know that's always hard for you. I love the ornaments, too! Very cute :) I'll be waiting to see your pics! It's funny you & Leighanne are talking about the babies hiccupping. Of course I don't have that yet, but this past week I've been hiccupping at work & out loud! It's pretty funny ;-) How's Kip? Have a good day & thanks for the congrats! I know, I can't believe I'm 4 months! =)
ad_06: I'm sorry it didn't work out for you to do iui this cycle. You know, my one very odd cycle was in April where my RE kept telling me I was nowhere close to O because my largest follie was only 5mm... Well, I knew I was close & got a +opk, went in again for another u/s and they said, no, this is probably going to be a longer cycle for you. Well, I went in again after I knew I O'd & there were no follies & my progesterone test confirmed I O'd, without them ever seeing a mature follie. That is the cycle where I got my first BFP... Anyway, your funky cycle just reminded me of that. I'm glad to see you're happy about your new plan & I hope the provera treats you well & brings on AF asap!
Hi ladies! :) I wasn't able to make it out to see Kayln yesterday, but did get the pumpkins done! I made 1 for Kayln, 1 for Adalynn and got a bunch of tiny pumpkins for all the other baby girls out with Kayln and painted them pink! I actually just did the tiny pumpkins today, so am waiting for them to dry and then I will take them out to Kayln and the other babies shortly. Not much new otherwise going on here. I've been cleaning house all day, and am now taking a break. I'm excited for my u/s on Tuesday to see how much my little addy has gained since my last growth and fluid u/s! :)
Mommyin10- Maybe you're getting the hiccups for the babies?! lol ;) I can't wait till you can start feeling them all the time, which should be very shortly!! :) Kip's doing great! Apparently the couple that was going to come look at him got a German Sheppard puppy b/c there was some miscommunication about when they could come look at him. Which stinks, but he'll get a good home! :) He's starting to thicken up quite a bit, and we're going to get hay hopefully today for all the boys outside because it keeps them warm at night. And now that the rain has finally quit, we can go get it and let them have fun tearing it up! Which is hilarious by the way! We let the girls help the boys every year and it's just so funny how much fun they have! lol ;) The smell kind of gets to me, and I'm sure it really will this year since I'm pregnant, but I'll be sure and get some pics! I'll post my pics today of the pumpkins! They're so cute! :)

How did your day go today? I can imagine it gets emotional.... Looking forward to seeing pics of Kayln's decorations ;) I went looking at baby clothes today. I realize I shouldn't because it's so tempting to buy everything that looks too cute just in case they're girls or just in case they're boys :) I was good & didn't buy anything. I sure can't wait, though! Thanks :) It'll be exciting to feel them more often & I bet you're right that that will be very soon! That's too bad about Kip's potential adoption, but the right family is somewhere out there just waiting to pick him up ;) How fun for the "kids" to play in the hay! Well, just another day to go til your u/s! I bet Addy's grown quite a bit! Have a great day!
Ok, new pics are up! :) I ended up falling asleep for 3 hours!! I guess my body really needed it b/c I felt great when I woke up! :)
Mommyin10- Good girl! ;) I know how tempting it is to want to buy everything for them! I have that problem with Addy, seriously!! But then I think she just HAS to have it b/c everything is SO cute! lol ;) Hopefully you'll see if they're boys or girls on Wednesday! I really bet you do! :) Then you can buy all kinds of fun stuff! Yayyy!! :)
Looks like it's just the two of us today :) Yep, you totally get what I'm saying! Haha :) I'll be just as bad as you once we find out! I took a nap yesterday and today, too & it felt great :) You are so close, you better enjoy your naps while you can ;-) I saw your pics & I love 'em! Thanks for sharing.
Luvkayln: I am glad you understood what I was trying to say. I was cking out your decorations for the girls...they look adorable. PLease take all the naps you can, Addy will keep you very busy for the next 18 years or maybe longer!! Good luck tomorrow on your u/s...about Kip, probably that family was not good for him, another one will come along and will provide a loving and safety home for him
Mommyin10: Any new pics? ...Probably next weekend will be a shopping weekend for you and DH, because I am hoping you are able to find out the gender of the babies on wednesday...how exciting!!
sbumbleebeo: good luck today at your appt!!
Ad_06: I am sorry about O this month, but keep up the bding, maybe a great surprise might show up for you!
Rachjas: Thanks! ...I know you have a big schedule ahead of you, are you all set up for the LAP? or will you just go back in for a pre-op appt?
well, I am so happy to finally be doing something, I am thinking positive positive positive!! hopefully a good attitude will help me conceive a sticky bean!! just today, a few minutes ago I started feeling like a pinching kind of feeling at my right ovary!! YAY!! I was starting to worry because I had no feeling of anything, I knew if I was to O soon, I should start feeling something and I was starting to worry.

sbumblebeeo: Good luck today!!! I can't wait to see new pics of your little one! :)
Keyan: Yay! Possibly O this wekeend!? Keep that positive attitude =) We're all pulling for you!
Mommyin10: I sooooo hope you get to find out on Wed what you are having!!!! I am so excited for you!! Has DH been able to feel them move yet? Peyton kicked DS so hard for the first time on Saturday! You should have seen the look on his face! Then he turned around and said "Peyton kicked me! Peyton kicked me!!!" He never felt her before b/c he's 2 and obviously doesn't have the patience to wait for it lol :-) Now he wants to talk to Peyton all the time :-)
Luvkayln: I will go check out your new pics :-) I bet they are so cute - everything you pick out and decorate for is too cute!!! How are you feeling being this far along already?
Keyan: Yay for ovary twinges lol!!! Hopefully you'll O sometime around this weekend! I love your positive attitude!!! So, since you are my weather person for PR lol, how's the weather? We are excited to go, but I'm nervous about flying over the ocean for an extended period of time...that part is really not my thing!! We got all our flight info, and we'll arrive about 3pm on the 1st :-) They have us flying out of here at freaking 630 in the morning!!! There is just no need for that lol! Grow follie grow!!
Sorry it's been a few days...but they were long days! I worked Fri and Sat and it kicked my butt!! Yesterday DS and I were keeping busy while DH was working on the plumbing for the new upstairs bathroom (yes, I typed correctly lol!!!). He works on it when he can/feels like it, but I just want it done....
We are all doing well here, I'm still convinced I will be giving birth to a tazmanian devil lol, but I've noticed her patterns at day/night, and I'm hoping they stay the same after birth! She's up when I am, and sleeping (mostly) when I am. However....even at night, it's like when my bladder is even slightly starting to fill- it's like she starts knocking on it telling me "Ma, I'm losing room in here...Ma, it's filling up - get rid of it!!"
But today, I am going for a pre-natal massage which I soooo need! I actually leave in about an hour for it. We are carving pumpkins tonight which will be fun/interesting lol but I'll post pics either later tonight or tomorrow :-)
Hey everyone. Things are going okay for DH and I. AF has decided to hate me as it keeps stopping and starting. I've had it start 4 times now in about a month. But it only lasts for a few days each time. It's off again, so if it starts again I'll be headed to the DR again.
I have been really over emotional, but I'm dealing the best I can. Thursday is my birthday and all of our plans have basically been cancelled for one reason or another. So, that kind of s u c k s. I won't lie. DH works Thursday night, Fri night, Sat night, and MIGHT be home sunday. So I'm just aggrivated. He had made some fun plans for us for the whole weekend and I was excited. Then he "forgot" about it. So, oh well. What do you do? Our money situation is kind of icky still so I will probably just stay home and have a glass of wine on my birthday.
The good news is that we will be all back on track in a few weeks!
DH and I are going to re-evaluate our TTC stuff at the first of the year. So far, I haven't been ovulating or anything. I feel like it sometimes, but tests still say negative.
luvkayln, dnikki, mommyin10, sbumblebee- I can't believe how fast time is going! Your pregnancies are progressing so well and I'm so happy for you all!
AFM- KEEP ON TRUCKIN'. I have all of you in my prayers!
Hey girls! Sorry I have been so MIA lately. I started back to school two months ago to finish my bachelors in human resources. Since then balancing work, school, and the hubby, life has been crazy. So many things going on here too I see. I am so happy to see so many successful pregnancies under way. Hopefully in a few months I will be joining you. I have a feeling this natural thing is going to work out for us. Id like to wait until I am done with school but you never know.
luvkayln - so glad things are going well with you and that you are feeling well!
mommyin10 - can't wait to find out what you are having!! how exciting!
dnikki - glad to also see you are doing well! i havent forgotten about your RE and will plan on meeting with him if something doesn't work out in a year or so! thanks again for your advice!
dnikki: OMG, DS's reaction to Peyton kicking is just too cute & so funny :) They're already starting their sibling bond! It's neat that he can feel her & understand better that she's in there :) It sounds like you deserved extra pampering today after your busy weekend! How did it go? I got a gift cert, so plan on getting one sometime soon, so I'm curious how you liked it :) My feet have hurt since early on in my pregnancy & lately they ache so bad! I'm planning to get a pedicure on Wed before my appt since I'm off all day :) Can't wait! dh actually bought me a shiatsu foot massager & neck massager on Firday, which was awesome! So, I've been enjoying that, but someone's actual hands on my feet sounds so good. Enjoy your night carving pumpkins! Sounds like fun =)
mrspace: Well, it sounds like you guys have a good plan :) Should I move you off the CD list & put you under TTC in the new year? I hope you & dh are able to spend some time together for your b-day & that AF lets up on you for a little bit!
jmh2005: Thanks :) I so hope we find out on Wed. too!!! I know I'll be disappointed if we don't, but all that really matters is that the little ones are doing well :) A bfp can surprise you when you least expect it, so keep the idea in your head that you want to wait til after you're finished with school & the au naturale method will probably work ! =) Take care & keep us posted!
luvkayln: I'll be thinking of you tomorrow! I can't believe you'll have appts every week til Addy's born! That's so exciting =) Be sure to update asap. I'll be checking in throughout the day :)
Keyan: You're so right! If we find out the gender, I will be shopping for sure this weekend (if not sooner)! hee hee ;-)
Boring doctor visit. He didn't do an u/s. All he did was check the baby's heartbeat and it is 164. He laughed and said it's a girl. Then I asked if that was true and he said "NO". :( Bummer. He said get both flu shots when I can but hurry up on the seasonal flu shot. He hasn't decided for sure about the progestrone injections "we'll talk about that next visit" What ever. It's official though. I finally believe my doctor would recognize me with clothes on. LOL. Next appointment is the big anatomy scan in 3 weeks. On November 9th at 9:15. I CAN'T WAIT. Though I still believe it's a boy.
Sbumblebleeo: hum?! that heartbeat sounds like a girl!!.lets see what others here have to say...you made me laugh with the comment about recognizing with clothes on, I think mine too, but with clothes off!! ..OMG I can't beleive I just said that, but is true, with both laps, he has cked lots of things in there...LOL.
Luvkayln: good luck today, I can't wait for your update and Addy's new u/s pic.
Mommyin10: that's great you have your day off tomorrow, sounds like lots of fun coming your way (pedicure). good luck tomorrow finding out about girls or boys...and if you do, I bet you won't be able to wait until the weekend for the shopping, enjoy!!
Dnikki: just a few days until your trip! ....the weather, well it has been hot, well not too hot, just a little above the normal, but maybe before you arrive is cooler, the weather person says there is rain coming up for this weekend, and that might help. Dh and I started sleeping again with the A/C, because it started to be to hard to sleep with just a fan, usually by October 1st we don't use the a/c unit. about your filght schedule, it sounds like you have like one stop, right?, maybe that will help with not been too much time on the air, keep in mind there is a time difference, ...at 3pm, I think is the peak on the high temp of the day, so you will get a good update on how the temp will feel like for your stay....about DS feeling Peyton, aww!! that's really neat, they will have a special bond, probably DS will be over protective of her!!
Jmh2005: the good thing is that time is on your side and your plans sounds great! Good luck!
MrSpace: Sorry about your b-day plans been canceled. thins will get better, stay positive!
Yesterday I felt on both ovaries sides, the pinching feeling, I hope it gets stronger, my CM is scarce, hopefully that will change soon...other than that nothing new.
I just wanted to update that the u/s today at 5 weeks 5 days showed two gestational sacs but one is measuring 5 weeks 1 day and has no yolk sac. I am not sure if that means that the second one will not make it or not. Does anyone know if it's possible?

sbumblebeeo: Sorry you didn't get an u/s, but it's good to hear all's well with your little one :) I agree, from what I've heard that sounds like a little girl's h/b! ;) I guess only time will tell. You should know for sure on 11/9!!!
Kmcarino: at my 1st u/s at 5 weeks, 1 day they only saw one sac. The next week, 6 weeks, we saw a h/b & that's when we first saw a second sac w/ no h/b. At 7 weeks, we saw two sacs, each with a strong h/b. Best wishes!
Keyan: It sounds like your factory is gearing up for O this weekend! I'm so happy for you & so excited! I think you're right, I doubt I'll be able to wait til the weekend if we do find out the gender ;)
luvkayln: thinking of you today! I can't wait for more pics of Addy!!! :)
Mommyin10: DS comes up with the darndest things to say - especially to the OB...He told him I was having a monkey lol! Hence the reason my MIL bought him a baby doll!! He does good with it though...most of the time :-) Today I walked into the living room and saw him put the doll on the couch, cover her up and put the pacifier in her mouth :-) The massage was great - she worked on my shoulders a lot (co-worker). I had a lot of knots in there and my Traps were really tight. I don't want to bring you down as I know how much a foot massage is needed, but they don't really massage your feet when you are p/g b/c of the pressure points and relexology points in the feet and ankles. I knew about the ankles, but didn't know about the feet and I'm an LMT!!! So on that note, be careful during your pedicure. Do make sure you get your hips/glutes worked though - it does wonders!!! One more day 'till your u/s!!! Update ASAP lol!!
Keyan: I know! We have just over a week until we leave! I think we have the time change here the night before...How much of a difference is there? This might be a stupid Q, but do we need our passports? We have one day in San Juan, and hopefully it's not too hot that day otherwise I don't know how I'll do it!!! I think you're right, he will be protective of her which is good! We can't be with her 24/7 (when she's older...boys and such) lol!!! I'm glad your ovaries are kicking in! Have you tried Preseed for your CM? It works good, it's just a little messy. Also, I don't remember - are you doing OPK's? Grow follie(s) GROW!!!
sbumblebeeo: I think you are having a girl :-) That kind of su cks you didn't get to have an u/s, but 3wks isn't that much longer to wait! I don't get anymore u/s until later on in my p/g for w weight check of the baby. Glad that everything is going well though!!! Any word on when the H1N1 vaccine will be distributed in your area? We have ours here, but they don't have the "clinics set up yet." My thought was why didn't they organize everything BEFORE they got the shipment that way when they did recieve them, they could get them out?!?!? Oh, well....I'm still hoping for mine by the end of the week. Also, there is a shortage of the seasonal flu vaccine-go to find a flu shot.com (take out the spaces) to see where they are doing clinics in your area.
Me, I'm working 2-10 tonight and hoping I won't be aweful busy...I think when we get back from PR, I'll have my OB cut my hours back a little. But nothing else new here :-) I'll update tomorrow! Have a great day everyone!!
Keyan- lots of luck. I hope this is it for you and thanks for the note.
mommyin10- you better now wait on minute to tell us what you're having if you find out tomorrow. I can't wait!
Kmcarino- Did mommyin10's news excite you? It did me. I bet that you're going to be next on the list with twins. I can't wait to hear. That is amazing. Good luck.
Thanks for your encouraging words, Did you see both a gestational sac and a yolk sac for the first oen that you saw and then at the second u/s you saw the second gestational and a yolk sac? From what I am reading for the most part, it does not look like a good outcome for the smaller one with no yolk sac. This is the earliest I've ever had an ultrasound so I am hoping that it will make it, but I am not very hopeful. I have another u/s in a week.
Update: Addy's u/s went great! :) She weighs 3lbs, 6 oz and is measuring perfectly! The dr kept trying to get her to practice breathing, and she did off and on, but wasn't consistant about it. So she went and got this buzzer thing to put on my belly to scare her in hopes that it would make her start practicing breathing, and it did! :) It was so cool to see her doing that! :) We had our first non-stress test done on her today too, and she passed with flying colors! :) Then we went downstairs to our regular OB for our checkup, and now she's saying she's not going to induce me at 37 weeks but wants us to make it to 39 weeks! That really upset me, but I didn't even think about what I wanted to say until after we left the doctor's. She's been saying this whole time that she's going to induce at 37 weeks because we've had a previous demise, and when that happens they don't let their patients go past 37 weeks. She's also said that if I were to go into labor on my own at 34 weeks or more, that she wouldn't stop it! I did ask her why now not until 39 weeks, and she said babies go to the nicu all the time still at 37 weeks. OK, then why wouldn't you stop my labor at 34 weeks then???!!! Uugh! I'm so upset that she just up and changed everything on us! I mean, I'm ok with keeping Addy in there longer as long as everything is ok, and with me going every week now and getting u/s's everytime along with the non-stress tests every week, I do feel better, but still! I would call and talk to her now, but I'll just end up talking to a nurse instead of her, so I'll just wait until my next appointment on Tuesday. Just because she's doing great, doesn't mean anything in my book! Kayln did GREAT the entire pregnancy, and look what happened! Having gone through what we went through, she should understand my fears! And I thought she did, but now I don't know! Sorry to vent, but I've been upset about it all day and even more emotional that Sean seems to not understand why I'm SO upset! Anyway, I got new pics so I'll upload them soon. I'm exhausted right now, so I'm gonna take a nap! It's been an emotional day! :(
Luvkayln: I'm sorry you're so frustrated! ;( I'm guessing it's better for Addy to come on her own & that's why they won't stop your labor if it starts early, but they don't want to induce before 39 weeks. Does that make sense? Believe me, I totally get how you feel & I'm sorry you've had a frustrating day. Definitely talk to your ob about your concerns at your appt next week. I know how it is when you leave an appt & then realize all the questions & concerns you have. I sure hope you're feeling better ;) I'm happy you have weekly appts & your monitor at home. Your fears & concerns are totally understood after everything you've been through. I'm just happy you have weekly appts & your monitor at home. That will help alleviate your concerns at least a little bit ;) Take care & feel better :) I can't wait to see Addy's new pics! Wow, 3+pounds
already!? That's just awesome!
Kmcarino: I don't remember any mention of my babies' yolk sacs til later on, sorry.
dnikki: DS must keep you laughing :) He's just too cute! As far as the foot massage, is it bad when pregnant? What are the concerns?
Sbumblebeeo: I'll be sure to update asap, but my appt's not til 4:30 (Pacific time).
Mommyin10- Thanks girl! You always know just what to say, you're an awesome friend! :) I am feeling much more calm now, just because I know there's nothing I can do about it until my next appointment. For now, I'm just going to be thankful that my little Addy did so well at the appointment today, that she's growing right on target and isn't stressed out! :) Oh, and remember when I was 24 weeks and she weighed 1lb, 10oz and they said she was a little bit big for her age? Well, now at 30 weeks they said her weight is normal at 3lb, 6oz so my baby is no longer "overweight!" lol ;) Let's concentrate on you now! ;) I'm SO excited for your u/s tomorrow! I really, really, really hope you get a "hint" of what you're having, even if it's not 100%! That would be awesome! I'll be thinking of you at 6:30, my time!!! :)
Kmcarino- Wow, twins!! I told you you were blessed! :) I'm praying for 2 healthy babies for you! I'm sure your next u/s will show 2 yolk sacs, and you may just see their h/b's too! I didn't see Addy's until 7 weeks, but my previous u/s was at 5w, 5d so it was too early to see one. Is your next u/s next Tuesday?
I do have more pics of Addy to post from today, but I will probably do it tomorrow! I still haven't gotten my nap in, but it's probably too late for one now! I won't want to go to sleep tonight if I sleep now, so I'll go do my dishes and then start dinner instead. Hope everyone had a great day! Everyone cross your fingers for Mommyin10's u/s tomorrow that she finds out the sexes!!!! ;)
luvkayln- Thanks:) I hope I have two yolk sacs next week, but I feel discouraged about it after all that I've read. I am 5 weeks 5 days just like you were with your first u/s. Yes, my next u/s is a week from nwo on Tuesday evening.
mommyin10- How many weeks were you when you had your first ultrasound?
luvkayln: What a stressful, busy day, huh?! I'm glad you're feeling better. It's hard when you leave an appt & then have all these unanswered questions & emotions, but you'll have thought everything through by the time you see her again & I'm sure you'll get a better response ;-) I'm so happy to hear how well Addy's doing & I can't wait to see her pics =) Get some rest & keep your fingers crossed tomorrow!
kmcarino: My first u/s was at 5 weeks, 1 day & that's when I only saw one sac. At 6 weeks, 2 days, we saw the h/b and then the second sac. At 7 weeks, 2 days, we saw both h/bs. I just looked back at my u/s pics & I can see the yolk sac of the one baby at 6 weeks, 2 days & then at 7 weeks, 2 days, I can see both yolk sacs. I just didn't remember that part. At my 5 week u/s, I only saw a tiny sac, no h/b and no yolk.
Morning everybody I hope you are all doing well.Just a quick update two days till we head for Barcelona,I'm really feeling quite overwhelmed by it all.Really don't know what to expect so i'm just going to take it in my stride and treat this as a break and going to the clinic is just an added extra.I know most people say 'be positive' but i'd rather stay neautral and not get my hopes up too high that way its not such a crash if it doesn't go my way.For those ladies that got thier bfp's I hope you are all well and those still waiting good luck. You are all in my prayers.Bye for now
Hello to everyone. So, our doctor decided to go ahead, and I had my retrieval yesterday. It went well, and they got 7 eggs. The lab just called to say that 2 are responding well, so we'll do the transfer tomorrow with those. We did IMSI/ICSI this time to try to get around the sperm issues. I was quite happy with the 7 eggs, especially since I didn't have as many follicles this time as usual, but I was hoping that more of the embryos would respond vigorously. Endometrium is 10mm, so that's good, and I can take a few days off to lie in bed. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.
luvkyln- How horrible you must have felt when you left there. All this time they have been telling you that she would come at 37 weeks and now to change it up must be heartbreaking. I have no words for you other than I am so sorry. It is so frustrating when they catch you off guard like that then you go home and think of all the things you wish you would have said. Well luckily for you, you can write down your thoughts and take them to her next week. Maybe you can sway her to change her mind. And if not, you are being monitored more closly this time. They'll be ready for you beautiful baby to come just at the right time, just when God knows it is time.
scripps- Sorry you are talking a foreign language to me but I do wish you all the best!!! Lots of luck to you.
kmcarino- Try not to read too much. You just have to keep your mind busy and wait it out. Talk to mommyin10, she's great and has been in your shoes with wonderful results. It can happen, the yoke sac will be there. They did the same thing to me. The baby wasn't measuring right and told me I didn't know when I got pregnant (ha, yeah right!) And then he had a growth spert and caught up right to where I said. Maybe the second baby is just getting out to a slow start like mine did. Smile, it's going to work out!!!
luvkayln: Oh! I am sorry, it's just so awful when docs do that (change plans or caught you off guard) and more so becuase you have a valid concern. for what I've seen, babies at 36 weeks seem to do very good at delivery, I mean, my 3 older nieces (sp?) were safely deliver at 36 weeks thru a c-section because they were breach and they came home 3 days later and have been healthy ever since. on the other hand, I know nature made the 40 weeks mark as to be the healthiest time for them to come to the world... Is a tough one, my best advise is to think about, talk with Sean, and just insist in what your heart tells you to do.
Mommyin10: I am thinking of you today. Can't wait for you update. keeping my fingers crossed that you are able to find out if they are girls or boys!!
Dnikki: hey there! we go by eastern time right now, but our time never changes, so if it will change this weekend, then we will be an hour later than eastern time...does that make sense? ...you don't need the passports, a valid ID will work, but just in case, ask your travel agent or call the airline company just to make sure... I know I've travel with ppl that didn't have a passport, but that was a few years back, and when I travel, I do use my passport as my ID....I am not using OPK this time, just doing the temps. about preseed, a few of you here have talked about it, but I've never even try to look for it, maybe I should.
Scrips: congrats on the 7 follies and the 2 good embys!! Grow babies Grow!! I will be thinking of you tomorrow. Good luck!
Pyar: Hope you have an excelent time in Barcelona. and that your able to accomplish all of your plans!!
Kmcarino: I am hoping and praying both your babies are healthy in all aspects.
Not much going on with me. I will be staying for work at a hotel about 2.1/2 hours away from home, DH is coming with me, so that will be fun, we will come back on Saturday, I think it will be great to spend some relaxing time, hopefully during Oing.
Michelleinhawaii is CANCER FREE!!! Congrats & best wishes =)

scripps: Thats so exciting! Congrats :) Remember, it only takes one! We did ICSI, too, but I'm not familiar w/IMSI. That's great that you'll have time off on bedrest! I was on strict bedrest for 48 hours, getting up only to use the restroom. No shower, nothing! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow :)
sbumblebeeo: Thanks :) You're so sweet!
Keyan: Thank you! I will update asap :) Enjoy your time away w/dh! Come on, O!!!
Well, Luvkayln & Keyan know my concerns, but I haven't shared them w/ you all. I had a mini breakdown, an OMG! or Ah-ha moment last night... I've read that because I have a t-shaped uterus, I'm at risk for a 2nd trimester m/c due to a weakened cervix. There's a stitch that can be put in place between 15-18 weeks if your cervix is showing signs that it's starting to open. So, I started to think about that & decided to email my former RE to alleviate my concerns. I thought maybe my hsg results would have revealed something or all the u/s we did would tell him I'm ok. His response was that I should be getting u/s where my ob is measuring the length of my cervix & checking for funneling (which is a term used to indicate the cervix is starting to open). OMG, my ob isn't even doing vaginal u/s, so how would she know?! I emailed my RE back letting him know that & asking if he thinks I should be seeing a specialist. I haven't heard back f/him yet. I guessed he was responding to me f/memory & maybe wanted to check my chart... Anyway, I was do worried last night because if I hadn't been reading about these things, it would never be addressed, so what else do I need to be aware of... Ugh! Today at my appt, I'll let my ob know my concerns & I'll ask her to do an exam. If that's not something she is aware of, I'll ask her to refer me to a specialist. So, I'll update later about how it goes & please just keep me & my babies in your prayers :)
sbumblebeeo- Thanks:) I really hope you are right and both babies will be fine at the next u/s. I will try not to read any more about it. It is just so hard. I am not sleepiung well either. I know I need to try to relax.
Keyan- Thanks for your prayers. I definitely need all the prayers I can get:)
mommyin10- Thanks for taking the time to look back at your u/s pictures. If my HCG levels were not so high from the begninning and if the smaller one was a little bigger, I would have more hope. You would think that they would be able to see more sooner since my HCG levels have been high, don't you think?
Mommyin10 - Good luck with your u/s today! I really hope that you get a little glimpse of what you are having! Remember, I found out about Jake at 15 weeks! I'm sorry you started to feel worried but for all the right reasons. I think your doc should be taking every precaution! I do believe that they can measure your cervix with a regular u/s. I was at risk of preterm labour and that is one of things they checked at my ultrasounds and I didn't have internals. Either way, you should definitely make sure they are checking you and maybe you need to go for more frequent ultrasounds.
Luvkayln - Wow...I can't believe they moved you to 39 weeks just like that. It will be better for Addy in the long run but I can only imagine for you that it is 2 more weeks of worry!! I really hope that you can get all of your questions answered and feel better at your next appt. Maybe 38 weeks is the right way to go?? I now wish I could have kept Jake in longer. I had him just before 37 weeks and look what happened to him....a full week of NICU and lots of worry because of his lungs!!! That's partly because of the c-section but also because his lungs were not quite fully developed. Either way it is so awesome that Addy is doing so well! She is a perfect size!
kmcarino - Congrats!! Twins...so exciting. I know sometimes they can't see the yolk sac at the very early stage.
Keyan - So glad to see you back on the ttc list my friend!!
Jake and I are doing really well. I have some more pictures I will post later today. I can't believe he is 10 weeks old already! He is smiling a lot now and i love it.
Thank you! That makes me feel so much better :) Maybe she has been measuring & I just didn't know? I assumed it needed to be a vaginal u/s. I will talk to her today & see. Jake's new pics are awesome! He is absolutely gorgeous =) Happy 10 weeks to him!
mommyin10- I'm sorry to say that my doctor hasn't mentioned that at all for me. He told me that I am at risk for pre term labor and that I may begin the progestrone injections at 22-28 weeks to help prevent it but he didn't mention a stich or second trimester m/c and I promise I asked that. he said "no worries about another m/c". I haven't had an internal u/s since my first appointment. This sounds gross but I thought they checked your cervix opening with their finger. Like when woman diate that's how they do it. I really don't know. He isn't checking me at all and I was told there is nothing for me to worry about until the third trimester. I'm sorry I'm not more (any) help. Maybe they'll tell you the same thing though. Still hoping the best fo you. Of course I'll pray for you!
Mommyin10: I'm sorry about your worries but totally understand them. I'm glad you are addressing them today and I think it's a good call for a specialist if they aren't meeting your needs currently. As far as DS, there is NEVER a dull moment in our house lol! I don't know where he comes up with the things he says!!! I hope your appt. went well today :-) As for the massage thing, there are pressure points in the ankle that can cause your uterus to contract - those are also in the wrist. The spots on your feet I believe can cause the baby - well, in your case babies to turn from what I understand. So we are just cautious with pre-natal massages!
Keyan: Maybe we'll just take our passports just in case...? Wouldn't hurt anything! We go by eatern time here too - but we have a time change on th 31st where we will be falling back one hour. Hopefully you will O soon, and by soon I mean while you guys are away from home and at the hotel lol!! I liked pre-seed but I don't remember if I used it when we got our BFP, especially since we did iui also. Have fun!
Scripps: Yay!! Good luck with your transfer tomorrow. How many will you be transferring?
Pyar: Good luck on your trip and I hope you come back with good news :-)
AFM: I was supposed to work 'till 10 last night - well during my first massage at 2 I started to have what felt like a bad cramp in my right side. But instead of a cramp, it radiated into my back and down and then it hurt worse when I put pressure on my right leg. Anyways, I finished that massage and informed my boss that I needed to call my OB and gave her a brief on what happened (mind you I had another client waiting for me). Called the OB's office, and I knew it wasn't a contraction and they said to go home, take tylenol, and rest. I tell my boss this is what they said and she has the NERVE to ask me if I COULD FINISH MY SHIFT!!! I told her no and ended up having to wait another hour and a half until I "could go home..." She wanted me to see if it would just go away!!! Anyways, I'm pretty sure I pulled a muscle in my back. I had another massage done today just in the back and hips area and it helped some for a little bit, but I'm still pretty sore. DH went to hug me today before leaving work and the pressure of his arms on my mid/lower back hurt! I don't know what the heck I'm going to do. I did put a cap on how many clients - I brought it down from 6 to 4 a day. And it will stay that way until after I have the baby. The pain in my side thankfully has been gone since later last night, just the usual pains and twinges from my little tazmanian rolling and stretching so much :-) I'll try to update more later tonight, if not then tomorrow! Hope you all had a great day!!
sbumblebeeo: Thanks :) Preterm labor could be caused by your cervix weakening and opening. My doctor didn't mention it to me either, but I read about it & then emailed my old RE just to get some peace of mind. His response worried me, but I guess I need to see if my ob is actually measuring and checking for funneling before I worry too much. My appt's in an hour & a half, so I'll definitely discuss my concerns with her.
dnikki: Thank you :) I'll update after my appt. I still have an hour and a half to go :) I'm sorry your back is bothering you, but how upsetting to have your boss not be understanding ;( I hope you're feeling better & that's great that you'll be cutting down your patients. Your job has got to be hard when you're expecting! Thanks for the info re: foot massages. I had never thought about that, so it's definitely good to know! Happy 23 Weeks =)
Has anyone who's pregnant ever gotten so dizzy you almost fainted? I was waiting to pay at a store today & felt like I was about to blackout. I got really sweaty, too, but it passed quickly, maybe a minute total. I am hypoglycemic, so it could be my blood sugar dropping too quickly, but it did surprise me & I guess it's just another thing to talk to my ob about today :)
Keyan, sbumblebeeo, Mommyin10 & Stacey- Thank you all so much for your awesome support and understanding! :) I knew you all would understand! :) I do feel much better today, and now that I have my thoughts collected, I'll feel better when I'm able to communicate those with my doctor. I was just so upset when I left there, and really didn't say anything to let her know I was upset, and it just hit me right as I walked out the door! I've gotten a lot of support from my mom and mil, and Sean and I talked last night about it too, so that makes me feel better! I'm ok with inducing at 38 weeks, as long as Addy is still doing great on her u/s's and non-stress tests. Plus, I have my monitor at home and have actually started carrying it with me in my purse, so if she has a lazy day, I can still check on her while I'm at work. :) She's been a very active little girl lately, so I haven't felt the need to check her, but it's a good precautionary! :)
Mommyin10- Your appointment is just 30 minutes away! I'm so excited that you'll be able to get your concerns to your OB out and get your questions answered! Did your RE ever re-email you back last night? Even though I know everything will be ok, I've been worried about you since you brought all this up! I know you're in good hands, and I'm glad you thought about all this and didn't have to wait to talk to your OB. That was fate that your appointment was today and this all hit you yesterday! :) The most important thing is for you to feel comfortable and feel like you are truely being taken care of the way you deserve to be taken care of. She really does need to treat you like a high risk patient, I've thought that since the beginning! I'll keep my fingers crossed that you find out the sexes of the twins, but mostly that you feel great when you leave there today! ;)
Dnikki- Oh man! I hope your back starts to feel better soon! :( That's good you cut your clients down a little bit, but what a butt your boss was being last night! I think some people just really don't get it! I hope you start to feel better!
Stacey- Wow, 10 weeks already?! That's awesome! I can't wait to see his new pictures! :) Thanks for the advice! I know there are still risks with being induced at 37 weeks, that she may still have to go to the nicu, and I don't want that! What gets me is she's so inconsistant with what she's telling me, ya know? I hope Addy decides to come early on her own, like between 37-38 weeks so I can laugh in my OB's face! Haha! Totally kidding, but it would still make me laugh! Hee hee! ;) I'm all about doing what's best for Addy, of course! And I do feel like I'm being well monitered. As long as baby is happy and healthy, then I'm happy too! :)
Lina- Half way through your 2ww! Woo hoo! Come on BFP!!! :)
Scripps- OMG, congrats on your retrieval and yayyy for your transfer tomorrow! That's awesome news! :) You know we are all praying for your BFP, and I really have a great feeling for you! Keep us posted throughout your 2ww, and make sure you get lots of rest too! I'm so excited for you! I just know this is it!!! :)
Ad_06- How's the provera treating you? Let's keep our cheer going! "Come on AF!" :)
mommy- fainting is normal during pregnancy. especially when going from a sitting to standing position and starting to walk too fast. ym doctor told me to stand for a min before i start to walk. you have so much of your normal blood flow going to the baby that when you stand your body needs a little bit to redistribute the blood flow again and many women feel faint and dizzy and can pass out even. so just try to give yourself a min if its happening more when you stand. if its all the time then talk to your doctor cause you might have like low iron or something.
Thanks for your support, ladies! =) I feel SO much better after talking to my ob. She doesn't do the measuring and checking for funneling, but said that's what the high risk doc will do at my anatomy scan. She had wanted me to see them before today's appt, but they wouldn't schedule me til 20 weeks. Because I was concerned, she did check my cervix & it was tightly closed & looked good! She also Faxed a request to the high risk doc to see me asap to measure my cervix, so I'll call to make an appt tomorrow. That way, hopefully I'll see the high risk doc next week, then again two weeks later for my anatomy scan, then my ob the week after that! If the high risk doc sees any reason for concern, then he'll want to see me more often. So, I feel great now & so relieved =) Our u/s went really well & the babies were so big since seeing them 4 long weeks ago! They were right next to each other & moving like crazy. One of the babies was showing the goods, and my ob's best guess based on the one baby is that we're having girls! They were moving around so much, but she kept focusing & couldn't find a penis or anything. So, we'll see! We'll know for sure in 3 weeks!!! =)
luvkayln: Thank you! You're so right =) I'm glad about the timing because otherwise I would have stressed myself out, which isn't good. I really like my ob & so I'm glad I was able to talk to her about everything & walk away from today's appt feeling happy =) I'm so glad, too, that you're feeling better! Gosh, with my babies moving as much as they were, it's crazy that I can't feel them all the time =) I know it's just a short time til they're moving like Addy! Thanks again for everything =)
Leighanne: Thank you :) Yes, I talked to my ob about my dizzy spell today & she said it is normal & basically said the same thing you did. I'm also hypoglycemic, so it makes sense. She said to keep eating small meals throughout the day, as well.
mommyin10: I'm glad you feel reassured that you have good care and that everything will be ok.
luvkayln: I hope your doctors will explain everything and reassure you. The idea of your checking the heartbeat with a doppler you keep in your purse is very cute. I hope I will get the chance to do the same thing one day.
dnikki: I admire your work ethic for keeping such a heavy schedule, particularly as your job is very demanding physically. I really hope your boss will become more understanding.
I am lying in bed now--just had the transfer. Again, the experience was so much better than the hospital. I was upset this morning, because I called the biologist, and she said that when they had checked the embryos very early this morning, one hadn't moved since yesterday, and the other was 2-cells. However, but 1:30 this afternoon (remember, I'm on Paris time) they had grown! One is 3-cells, the other 4, which is pretty good for only 2 days. The doctor said they looked good, so now I'm resting. Going to take a page from mommyin10's book and stay on bed rest for at least 48 hours. I scrubbed extra hard this morning in anticipation of going showerless for 2 days!! On my way home, I saw my doctor on the sidewalk with a woman, and he wished me luck. He really is great.
Michelleinhawaii is CANCER FREE!!! Congrats & best wishes =)
Arlotheslug: We're praying that you're home, loving your little girl!!! Update soon =)

scripps: Thank you :) I'm so happy for you that everything went so well & you're pleased with your care :) That's wonderful! Now, rest, rest, rest!!! =)
mommyin10- I had to read yourpost 3 times b/c I was trying to scan it for the sex first. Aww... girls. That is so fun!!! I am so excited for you. I read the post about faining...it's been bad for me too. Especially if I take a hot shower or get up to fast. My docotr said it's normal and to slow my movements down. I also asked Monday about my heart. It hurts so bad some times. Like it's pounding out of my chest and takes my breath away. He said as long as I don't actually black out it's probably just palpatations from the increased blood flow. I'm starting to get worried. I don't really feel the baby move too much. I try to lay still to feel it and all I feel is my heart pounding. I did feel it a couple times but just a little bit. When I realized what it was, it stopped. I guess I should start reading what you are reading about the cervix opening up. That is new to me. My doctor won't tell me all the risks b/c he says I'll just worry but if I ask, it's a different story. How did your doctor check your cervix? If you don't mind me asking, what do they do?
Congrats again on a great visit. I wish I knew what we were having.
Scripps- I am so thinking about you and wishing you the best!!! Lots of luck
Scripps: Yay on the transfer!! Take it easy the next couple of days :-) It sounds like everything went fantastic and although I don't know much about IVF, it sounds as if the embies did very well! FX!
Mommyin10: We told you it was girls lol!!! That is sooo exciting! One Q for you though - how will you tell them apart lol!!! I always wondered about that! I'm glad everything is going well and they are going to keep a close eye on your cervix and such. Everything sounds great!!!
Quick update from me - I have a LOT of baking to do when DS goes down for his nap! DS came home with a cough yesterday - had a runny nose when he went to the sitter. Got him in to the peds first thing this morning and they are thinking it's basically just allergies and maybe a small viral thing going. They prescribed him Zyrtec to take at night. So hopefully we'll all have a restful sleep tonight!
Soooo, I called Walgreens and they have the H1N1 shot form of the vaccine!!! They will vaccinate both my son and I and I called the peds office just to make sure he was okay to get it today. After his nap, we will be heading there to get the vaccine. Soooo glad!!! He doesn't have the regular flu shot yet b/c of the nationwide shortage, but hopefully later next week it will be available again. I'm glad we can get him vaccinated for at least one though!! I will update later! Have a great day ladies!!!
Don't worry if you're not feeling your baby move too much. I mean, I don't feel mine all the time either. When I do, it's usually after dinner when I'm sitting still on the bed. You & I are so close & my ob says most women don't feel their babies this early, but because I'm having twins, I feel it more. Just wait! In a short time, ours will be moving like Addy & Peyton! :) I'm like you, though. I barely felt them yesterday, so worried, but they were moving like crazy at our u/s! I'm sure everything is just fine :) As far as the cervix opening, I didn't mean to worry you at all. I looked up incompetent cervix & one of the factors was a t-shaped uterus & so, it did freak me out a bit. You & I have different uterine issues, so go ahead & read about it, but try not to worry. My ob did a vaginal exam where she inserted a speculum & did something. I don't know. I was focused on the speculum 'cause I hate those things! ;) Anyway, it was a quick look & everything seemed okay. I'll make an appt w/the high risk doc for next week just so he'll ease my mind as well. Oh, your anatomy scan is just before mine & my ob said that doc will check everything! So, remember to mention it then :) I bet your heart pounding is the extra blood flow & especially because you're so tiny, it probably affects you more. I hope my message helps & doesn't worry you. That's not my intention :)
Thanks :) I've felt they were girls all along, too. That's funny :) It's not 100%, but we'll
know for sure very soon! Haha! I've wondered the same thing. I thought I could put nail polish on one finger or toe ;-) But I bet once they're born, I'll be able to tell them apart ;)
Hey, that's great to hear your Walgreens has the vaccine! I'll call to see if mine does too. I made an appt w/the high risk doc for Monday afternoon. Yay! I'm so happy my concerns will be addressed :) Hmmm, I wonder if he'll do an u/s... I hope ds feels better!
Don't worry about me. I should be aware of these things if they are a factor. So much for my finger theory huh. I hate those speculum thingys too. They want to give me my yearly pap and I've been avoiding it. What's the point? If it comes back abnormal they can't do anything but monitor it since I am pregnant. Pooie on that. As for the moving thing...it seems like by 16 weeks everyone said they felt it move but me... I did one time and that is because I was really upset about something at work and it poked me. Oh well, YAY for twin girls.
MommyOFTWINGIRLSin10 - 2 girls!!!! That is so sweet!! Didn't someone predict you were going to have 2 girls?? That is amazing. Sisters are the best!!!! I know it still needs to be confirmed but 2 girls sounds so right! So glad you are feeling better and that everything looks good. Sounds like your docs have everything covered and good for you for bringing it up!!
Stacey: that's a great nickname for our friend!! I know she will be smiling once she reads your post to her, I know I did!! Jake is having two new cyber sisters!!
Luvkayln: Happy 31 weeks!! Your appt is just a few days away, have you thought some more about what you want to do about Addy's b-day, will you decide on your next appt? I am glad she's been active, I know that must be very reassuring!!
Mommyin10: Congrats on the girls!! that's great!! Happy 17 weeks!! keep rubbing your belly for me!!
Dnikki: Hey there! I was at conference today and we had a doc talked about the HINI vaccines, and hopefully this is not too late, but there is a different vaccine for a pregnant woman and for babies under 6 months. is not that the regular vaccine can cause any harm, but they made a special one without some ingredient that has been controversial but not scientificly confirm that it can cause autisim or any other issues. Hope DS is feeling better.
Scripps: I am hoping your embys grow grow grow! finger's crossed.
Well, DS's cough got worse once again. It started up again during his nap and after he woke up it just sounded aweful! There was no way I was taking "allergies" as a diagnosis although I'm sure it has some to deal with the sneezing and runny nose. I took him to the Walgreens Take Care Clinic - I was going there anyways to get the H1N1 vaccine. I signed him in to have a nurse practioner look at him. I told her all about his peds visit this a.m... Well guess what?! DS has an ear infection in one ear and a lot of wax buildup in another ear to where they can't see if that one is infected or not!!! I'm not very happy with the peds office right now! So, he is going on Amoxicillian tonight and she said to go ahead and give the Zyrtec also. ARGH! Anyways, while I was there they also gave me the vaccine. Thankfully the NP was nice enough to just do it while I had DS in the exam room instead of me having to wait 2hrs for my vaccine. There were soooo many people there!!! So that is my vent lol!!!
Ok ladies, prayers are needed! Everything is ok with me, so don't think the worst there! I woke up and 3 am and Sean was gone, so I immediately grabbed my phone and noticed I had all kinds of missed calls from friends at 1am and multiple text messages about an amber alert! So I called Sean right away, and one of our friend's 9 year old sister is missing and has been since last night! So Sean and a bunch of our friends were out looking for her along with the police until 5am this morning, and of course I couldn't sleep then because I was so worried! They stopped the search and started back up again at 7am. Apparently Elizabeth, the 9 year old, was walking up the street to her friends house and they were playing hide and go seek in the woods, this was at 5:00, and was supposed to be home at 6:00. Well by 6:15 she still wasn't home, so her parents asked her friends parents what time she left, and they said they never even saw her?! Anyway, everyone's been searching in the woods for her ( because she had a cell phone on her and were able to track it, but it either died or got turned off so were no longer able to track it, but they picked up the signal in the woods) and the police assumed that she was probably scared b/c it was dark by that time, she was probably lost and was hiding. So we figured if that were the case, when the sun came up she would come out of hiding and would come home. Mind you, these woods are huge! Sean even got lost in them while looking for her! Well, she's still not home you guys and it's been pouring down rain here since last night! I just hope she's ok! I can only think about the worst scenerio possible, and I hate that b/c I want to have faith!! I just can't imagine what her parents are going through! It just breaks my heart! The awesome part is that everyone has been volunteering to look for her today. They had 100+ people in the woods searching for her, which is truely awesome that so much love is out there for her right now! I just get nervous b/c did you guys hear about the 7 year old little girl that was picked up in Georgia, and they found her body last night in Florida in a landfill?! :( People are f'ing sick, it just makes me want never let go of my Adalynn!!!! Ever! I just don't get why people would want to hurt a child! I just don't get it... I'll keep you guys posted, but I'm just praying so hard that she's ok!
Stacey: OMG, that's a mouthful, but I love it! =) Thanks! I know it's not confirmed yet, but I caved in and bought some cute girly clothes today!!!
Keyan: I hope you're having a great time & I'm keeping my fingers crossed that O is on its way for you =) Enjoy your mini vacation!!!
Luvkayln: OMG, I'm so sorry! Please keep us posted on the search for Elizabeth :( What a scary, heartbreaking time for her family & everyone searching for her. I totally agree with you. I can't understand why so many awful people are out there preying on children. Hopefully that's not her situation & they do find her asap!!!
dnikki: I'm sorry ds isn't feeling well, but so happy to hear he's been treated & hopefully will be back to his silly self soon ;) That's great you got your H1N1 shot out of the way. Good for you! I'm still waiting for my ob's office to get theirs in.
sbumblebeeo: I'm sure we'll both be feeling our little ones more often very soon :) I think most first-time moms don't feel their babies early on because we don't recognize the feelings.
