Worried!

Last night at 8 pm I went to the bathroom to pee and when I wiped there was a brownish tint discharge.  I got a tampon to see if there was any more.  There was still a light discharge on there.  I immediately went to bed to sleep.  Through the night, I had to get up 3 times to use the bathroom and there was no more discharge.  I used a tampon again this morning to see if there was anything and still no more.  What could this mean?  I am worried to death.  I will be 6 weeks tomorrow.  I am supposed to go for an u/s on Thursday.

Brown is old blood and should be okay.  I had heavy bright red bleeding twice in my first trimester and everything is still going good, we have seen the heartbeart 4 different times.

I have been bleeding and spotting for 3 weeks now.  I know how stressful this is.  But, every time I go in they tell me that the baby is doing OK.  So, hang in there!!!

Thanks.  I was thinking the same thing last night, but then got worried this morning.  I left a message at dr.'s office this morning.  I have not heard back.  I am sure they will want me to come in.  I did not have that with my daughter, so I got concerned.

I agree.  Try not to worry, but call your doctor to alleviate any concerns you have  :)

I also think that there is nothing to be worried but I would call you Dr and let him know.Maybe he can move you U/S and you can be reassured sooner than later!!

The only reason I used a tampon was because I already have to use an applicator 3 times a day to put medicine in there.  I knew the tampon would show me more signs of anything.

I agree with Sue; however, I don't think you should be using a tampon...

Hi. I think it sounds perfectly fine. A lot of red blood is not good, but brown is okay. Light bleeding in early pregnancy is actually quite common. Run it by your OB just in case, though, but I bet they'll say it's okay. Still scary though, I'm sure!

I'll be thinking about you today.

Sue
