Worried about this IUI cycle

Worried about this IUI cycle

According to the OPKs I normally ovulate on days 15-17. I just did a u/s today on cd13 and my folicles are too small. The re wants to do another u/s on friday which is cd16 and I'm afraid i will miss getting to do the IUI because I will ovulate too soon or Maybe I won't ovulate at all. Anyone else still have small folicles at cd13?

I have had smaller follicles around that time. My doctor had me wait a few more days then I did the trigger shot (ovidrel) I did ovulate....later than usual, but I did. How did your appointment go?

At my appointment Friday they were still too small but bigger than they were Tuesday. The doctor believes I am going to ovulate, just later than usual. I have another u/s appointment tomorrow morning so I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will be big enough and we will be able to do the IUI this cycle. I will let you know how tomorrow goes.

I have one folicle that is growing so they want me to do the trigger shot on Wed and the IUI on Friday. How did your IUI go and how long ago did you have it done?

Good luck to you! I am 13dpiui and I got a negative. Looks like this cycle didn't work for me. But just knowing I am ovulating is enough to keep me sane, somewhat! I wish you all the luck in the world. The trigger shot should really bring you where you need to be. Did they okay you to have intercourse while waiting for the IUI? I would think you should all the way up to Wed. Is your IUI 48 hours after the shot or 36?

I am sorry about your negative. Did you do a hpt or a test at the doctor's office? If it was an hpt maybe it is still too early for a positive. Yes we can have intercourse and they actually give a day that we are suppose to which I believe is the evening of the trigger shot. Then I think we are not suppose to on Thursday and wait until after the IUI. The nurse is giving me detailed instructions tomorrow. The IUI will be 36 hours after the trigger shot.

I did test at home...so, you're right, I could still be preg. Doubt it though. Its so easy to get negative. I need to stop that. haha! I hear most people do the IUI 36 hours after the trigger. My doc does it 24 hours after...doesn't seem to be working for me. Best of luck. My fingers are crossed this cycle is THE cycle for you! :)

My doctor said that my odds were 15% each time I did IUI and that I had a 1 in 3 chance of success after 3 times of IUI. I think those odds were partially based on my age (38) and the amount of time I had been ttc with no succes (almost a year). The nurse who performed my ultra sound was much more optimistic. She said she has seen a lot of success with the procedure and she is now pregnant from her 2nd IUI. I also have only one folicle this cycle and the nurse said that is fine because all you need is one. As long as you have the one good follicle I don't think having only one ovary will affect your chances. Good luck. SSBD to you.

Wink81 - Thanks, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you as well.

Hi,

my doctor also does IUI 24 hours after the trigger.  I have gotten pregnant 3 times this way - but unfortunately lost them.  Trying again this month.
