about antibiotics

I usually have ovulation pain (I forget the name) every month right on schedule.  I've been taking antibiotics since last thursday 5/08 and I was supossed to O on 5/12.  I have not had any O pains and my cm is low or inexistant.  My question is, do you know how antibiotics affect your cycle?  I'm trying to ttc and I don't know if I've O'd, it's been delayed or what!?
Please help.

I actually read of antibiotics INCREASING your chances of TTC (something with your CM maybe??).  I think I read that in the book TCOYF.   But I don't know about its affects on ovulation.  And by the way, the pain is called Mittleschertz (sp).  Do you temp?  If not, that would be a good way to know if you O'd.

Good luck!

You might not have o'd, it's hard to say. If you didn't it could have definately been the antibiotics. How long do you have to take them for? I would suggest using and OPK (ovulation prediction kit) I'm pretty sure that is what it stands for-either way it tells you when you are o'ing. Good luck to you!
