advice after FET

I am sure there are variations on this in the archives BUT here goes
I am off for FET next week (I hope if allgoes well with lining tuesday)
and the transfer is scheduled for saturday
tell me some stories if you had success if you went back to work soon
I HAVE to go back tuesday - I SHOULD go back MOnday - I am debating
I desperately want this to work and ideally want twins
so do you have a story to share?

I had 2 successful pregnancies from 5 IVF attempts.   Both times that worked, were sttempts when I had taken a week off of work and I basically let myself lie around the house for at least 3 days after the transfer.  That was a bit extreme probably :)

A friend of mine drove herself to and from her transfer procedure and was at work the next day---this was her first IVF attempt and it worked for her.

I think what's most important is to try (as much as possible) to stay in the right frame of mind (regardless of whether at work or home).  You don't want to obsess over it, but I think maintaining positive thoughts and minimizing any stress can work wonders.

My first FET was chemical. Second FET happened to be on a Monday, Tuesday was holiday and I took Wed off. I just wanted to give myself more time. I felt different with that one from the beginning. When dr pushed the syringe with the 2 embies and deposited them in my uterus, not only did I see a bit of fluid but I also felt it. Since then I had developed a connection with the embies and now am 36 wks 3d with twins. I guess it just depends on how you feel about about it, some women go back to work the very next day and have a healthy pregnancy. Good luck.

this RE wants me to use medrol
did you use it?

Used medrol on my FET and ended up w/ a bfp...but miscarried at 9 wks, BUT not due to the medrol! Have used medrol on all of my IVF's w/ no problems...have a 23 month old from my 3rd IVF.
Good luck! Do take it a bit easy. I was only on bedrest for one day after my FET. I have a friend w/ has two daughters from two different IVF's (fresh, not frozen) and she drove 6 hrs after each transfer. There is so much literature going either way on the bedrest scenerio, so really...do what feels right to you. Trust yourself!! We really need to do that when it comes to our fertility procedures.

I used medrol too.  I think it was just for a few days though, and we did ICSI, so I think it had to do with that.  I also took estriodal and progesterone.  All these meds...hard to know what does what, huh?!
