after Laparoscopy question

I'm having a Lap done next week, just curious what everyone's success rate is after this?  We've been trying for a year & 9 months now.  We go for our "prep talk" tomorrow, so I'll know more then, but was just interested in hearing other stories, if any.....  Thanks

I have been in a lab and and have been trying for 5 years to have a child too..  I am still waiting...  But don't worry it doesn't hurt and at least you will know what the problem is in my case I have cysts...

When I had lap they didn't find anything that they thought would affect my fertility, but I did get bfp twice since then through IUI.  Good luck to you.

i had a lap about 2 months ago  and ive been trying to concieve (conceive) for 1 year and 5 months.  my problem is that i have severe endometriosis and and a large amoun of scar tissue which was supposidly  stopping me from getting pregnant. now i have been on clomid for 2 month and still have not concieved. the docs ssays it may take a couple of month till my body adjust to the medication. but good luck

I had lap after 2 years of TTC, which included one m/c and one EP. I got pg the first cycle after my surgery. Good luck with your surgery, and I hope it leads to a BFP!

Thanks for the responses girls.  I had an HSG done back in January and was told my left tube was blocked, but then I got pg right after that....only to lose it at 5.3 weeks.  I hope this does the trick!  He said he would try and clear out that tube while he's in there....along with treating whatever else he finds, if anything.

Hi, I had my lap done last Wednesday and I was wondering the same..My Obyn found two partly blocked tubes and a very tightly closed cervix which she dilated 5mm. Certainly didn't expect that!.. I am currently awaiting my af to start, the first month of trying post lap. I've heard that the chances falling pg after a lap greatly increase for the first few moths. Will wait to see how true that is!..Good luck next week.

I'm having lap on the 20th of this month, Im scared. I have been TTC for 9yrs. I lost my husband because I couldnt give him a baby. I'm praying everyday that this surgery is all I need to finally have my baby.

I had a lap last month; finally got an answer to what was causing my infertility.  I recovered pretty fast, took me just a few days.  Some people take a bit longer to recover.  Please don't be scared; it's a very safe procedure.  Good luck!

I feel everyone's plight. I'm about 2 b 34 and still no baby. My mom is getting older and really wants a grandchild and I want a baby soooo bad. Here is my story. I had m/c about 10 years ago. Since then, according to my sex life I should have at least 4 kids lol. After being with my partner who really wants kids, I began to investigate what the problem is. Diagnosis- left tube looks beautiful according to FS but no dye flows and had a lap to open partially blocked tube done a week ago. Initially they told me IVF was my only option due to previous 2 HSG showed both tubes blocked. The 3rd HSG showed right tube partially open.  My FS wants to do Clomid and IUI since she was able to fully open myr right tube, but Im opting for clomid only for at least 2 months. I want to know if anyone had a baby with a situation similar to mine..

IV had the hsg done back in Oct 2009.here's my story I had my little girl after 2and half years of trying.she was stillborn and they have no reason why. I had my hsg done everything looked good but I'm not not pregnant.I go back to see him may 6th of this year.has anyone had the hsg and everything come back fine and still not get pregnant?.
