I agree, I got alot of my maternity clothes from ebay last time around. I'll do the same when I need them this time. I saved a fortune and although some was second hand it had hardly been worn. It meant I could get nice designer styles for the same price as the normal maternity shops. :)

I know what you mean.  I am almost 8 weeks and I cant wear half of my jeans anymore all ready.  It is true more so if this is not your first pregnancy such is the case with myself.

Your double the blood volume and you start retaining a lot more water.   I can understand about not want to gain too much.   If this isn't your first pregancy, I've read that the muscles have already loosened up so you will show earlier.

I don't think what you have going on is necessarily baby, but maybe just water or something that make you more bloated.  You probably will feel that your pants are really tight about 8 weeks.  This I know for sure.   I had to start unbuttoning my pants when I was at 6 weeks.

and sometimes you get bloated from constipation . yes the baby is the size of the dot above the i here, but like others said increased bloodflow ect. you know some will say they didnt notice until 15 weeks or even later, we are all different. it is important to make sure you dont gain too much weight, it really can effect your pregnancy. i went on bedrest at 8 months and just laid there and gained weight, i was miserable!! congrats on your pg. we all are different in how we show, when ect.

PS Every one is different as to when they start to show.  It doesn't sound like there's anything to worry about though.   It's not a tell tale sign that anything bad is going to happen or something is wrong.  So I wouldn't worry about it.

What if it was twins?

I'm about 5 weeks and I have some pants that aren't fitting at all.  I'm pretty sure it's because of the fertility meds I've been taking that have been making me bloated.  I guess I'll have to be buying maternity clothes sooner then I thought!

It's probably not twins unless your HCG levels are super high.  I dont' think twins would make you get a big bump at 6w, maybe at 10 w.

If I were you I would buy a variety of maternity clothes just so you have a choice there is nothing worse than going to the cupboard and you have nothing to wear lol it gets depressing

If I were pregnant I wouldn't care when I showed. I'd wear maternity clothes at 6w if I had too.   Why are you worried about that?   Just curious.
