any hope

Just reading and feeling like there is more dissapointment than success. I am 41 going on 42, went to the clinic after trying for 1yr, found out had blocked tube(was opened) FSH was 11.6 (12) follicles were 7. I did a lot of research and decided to take DHEA for at least 4 mo. I had lab work 2 mo after taking DHEA and my FSH went down to 5.4. but my DHEA level went up to 430. still taking the DHEA just lowered it every other day. Just wanted to get my story out there, I feel very bad for everyone and am not sure I am strong enough to go through all of that. I don't have insurance to help pay for any of the fertilization, but it did pay for my testing and if I don't do something before July 09 I have to pay for all of the testing again w/o insurance help... This is a very tough decision. Is it really worth it or should I just have furry babies...Unfortunately never met the right guy earlier...was 39 when I got married.

I say go for it!!! You've been on the DHEA...do you understand how it works? Although your ov-reserv is 7, you might get a very strong 4 eggs outta that & have a BFP success story to share. If you are able...then I say GO for it. Don't look for disappointment, just be strong & know that no matter what...you gave it your best shot. Here's a MoonBounce full of RSSBD...Jump in. ;o)

Btw: I didn't know DHEA lowered the FSH. My last FSH was 5.2..my reserve is 14, but I'm still waiting to have my 1st. Keep me posted...there is a Young lady on the site who got pregnant @44/45...her name is PamelaBee on the over 35 Forum. I can't recall, but I don't think she used anything.

There are lots of success stories but usually once they get pg, they move over to one of the other forums that are more suitable.
