anyone else in 2ww?

Hi everybody. Well I had egg retrieval on Monday and had six retrieved. Did icsi and four fertilized. I had two put back    
In on Thursday. I have had three days of complete rest and back to work on Monday which actually am looking forward to it even if just to occupy my mind. This is first 2ww. Just wanted to see if anyone else was in the same situation. I am currently taking progesterone pessaries and will do a pregnancy test on 9 July. Would be nice to have some cycle buddies.

Hi!  I had my egg retrieval last Tuesday, 19 retrieved and did icsi as well out of those 5 fertilized.  I ended up doing a day 3 transfer last Friday.  We transferred two 8 cell embies and now at the 2ww as well.  I am doing daily morning progesterone oil shots and will do my pregnancy test on July 8th.  I would love to be cycle buddies :).

Hello :o)  I had my egg retrieval last Wednesday (22 eggs, 20 fertilized(icsi)) and tomorrow we will be doing the transfer.  the tww takes FOREVER!!! :o)

I am on day 22... and we had really good BD timing this month. I have one more cycle before egg retrieval, so everything except my legs are crossed! I test on the 6th July.

I'm w/u kazah & Mimi 1808.  I  had 2 DET/IVF on 23rd & I can test either or on 07/08 or 07/09.  I am thinking of purchasing a HPT kit.  Or, I may go to a free-clinic and take a PT.  What are you're thoughts?  What's more reliable, and or which name brands of HPT kits?  Thanks for any input.  Lots of ***BABY*DUST*BABY*DUST*BABY*DUST*** to everyone!

I am in my first 2ww.  This was my first month on clomid 50 mg and now progesterone supp. 100 mg at night.  Am supposed to be able to test on July 8th.  This waiting it horrible!

So I had my transfer today!  My re wants me to go for a test on the 8th which seems forever away :o)  I'm not sure if I'll test on my own before,,,kinda scared :o)  Good luck everyone!!!

i wish you all the best of luck and lots of prayers!! and i love the baby dust to all!! 2ww after ivf is by far the most stressful 14 days ever....i have done multiple iui's and that waiting game isn't half as bad as the 2ww after ivf...and i am not sure if it is b/c there is so much more time and energy put into the ivf.....but the best advice i can give you is: 1. stay calm (or try to!!), 2. try and keep busy (yes another hard thing to do!!) and finally even if you don't believe in any type of higher power, just say some prayers...putting it into someone else's hands does make you feel better and relieve some stress!! i hold all of you in my hearts and prayers!! please keep me posted on the good news!!  =)

hi everyone, thanks for responding to my post.  Yes the 2WW is the worst, but I think it is so much better when you are back at work and not thinking about it all the time.  I must admit I do feel very calm and I have no inclination whatsoever to test before the 9/7.

I have been keeping up my accupuncture and listening to a positive visualisation/relaxation CD every day, which I find is very calming.

Has anyone had any 'symptoms?'.  I have had nothing at all, no cramping - but I do think it is very individual and doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Hello, so I wish I had work or something to keep my mind off it!! I'm a teacher so I"m off for the summer!!! This week has been pretty long and boring so I"m pretty consumed with the internet agh!!! So nope no signs, I don't think I'll test before the 8th... too scared to test before the 8th :o)  I did have period like cramping on Thursday 3dpt so I was kinda worried but nothing came of it... hopefully it was a good sign :o)

Hi. I am a teacher too! But I get holidays in two and a half weeks. Doing my test on Thursday so hoping I have all my morning sickness in the summer holidays!! I think the second week is the worst. I am at the stage where I an looking for 'signs' whatever they may be. But stay positive.

I join you in the tww as a teacher with nothing to do for the summer.   Only one thing though.  I caved and took a hpt. I am do for my beta on the 9th.  I got a positive result, but I know it could be picking up the hcg shot.  Anyhow I hope you guys are stronger than I am. I agree with you kazah about the morning sickness during the summer, that would be great because I have terrible morning sickness when pregnant.  Best of luck to us all.

I haven't really had any symptoms, either.  I've been being veRy careful in everything I do, though.  I'm treating myself like a fine piece of crystal.  I don't want to break anything.  I've been reading, doing some pre-natal yoga, walking, eating veRy healthily, watching soaps, movies, news,  listening to music, doing some veRy light housework, praying, and meditating.  I feel great!  I'm trying not to worry . . . .too much . . .:)  DH says he knows I'm pregnant, again.  This time, I want proof from the u/s, then I will believe it more than the beta.  I want a heart-beat, this time, or two.  :)))))  DH also doesn'nt want me to take a hpt.  He says, it's a waste of $, bc it could be a chem/+.  So, I didn't buy any hpt's.  I saw one for as little as $3.76.  It was tempting, but I listened to DH, for once.  (JJK)  Here's praying we all have our BFP's veRy soon along w/our blessed full-term pregnancies and healthy deliveries, Amen.

How is everyone going? Any updates? I test the day after tomorrow. I was convinced this morning AF was coming but I have only had some very light brown discharge? So I am not sure what is happening. I have no period pain feelings. After an acupuncture visit yesterday she said my pulse was more rolling than it was on Friday which is a hood sign. I am fluctuating between thinking yes and no.

If your period does not come by the test date is that a real positive thing? I read somewhere that the progesterone keeps period away?

I guess just need to wait a bit longer

Isn't it weird that teachers (of all people) have a hard time concieving!!! :o)  There were like 4 of us at my old school last year who had been trying for years... some of them way longer than me!   I guess for us the summer is the best time for ivf!

muse:  when do u test?

kazah:  I read somewhere that progesterone can lengthen ur cycle??? Not sure if it's true or not... I am also looking for signs :o)  It's hard not too, anything I feel I tell DH I think that's good!!! :O)  But then I also think I bet AF is coming!!! Last Thursday it felt like it was, I had cramping for a few hours but nothing since then.

rxyrxx919:  That is weiRd about teachers.  I test on 07/09 on DH's payday.  I have to go to the supermarket tomorrow and stock up on more healthy drinks.  I drink alot.  Everything I drink, lately, since the weather heated up, has a load of ice-cubes in it.  Right now, I'm munching on dried apricots and reading my a** off!  ;)

Well I tested on Tuesday night which would have been 13 DPO and got a BFN :-(
Today is  15 DPO and I am still waiting for AF to arrive...maybe next month will be my month...

I did a test this morning 14dpt and I too got bfn. Still no red blood though only light brown discharge. Of course I was upset and disappointed but unexpectedly I felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders! I feel like all of 2009 has been leading up to the ivf- such as acupuncture multi vitamins, all the appointments, time off work, thinking about it, no ocassionsal glass of wine, limited exercise. Everything on hold! I felt angry and vowed the rest of 2009 is not going to have anything to do with getting pregnant. I am going to run, enjoy wine over the summer, not one opk and have sex because I feel like it not because I have to.

Still waiting - I hope next month is your month and congrats to mini and rxy for your positives that is great news.

I got a BFP.  But, eventhough, Dr. is saying he's not saying we are preggo and he's not saying we are, yet.  I got 50/50.  We have to wait for the u/s on 07/23.  Last time, the #'s were 73/21 and BFP, but it turned into a CP.  I don't feel any AF nor pregnant symptoms so I don't know what is going on.  Dr. has me backing off meds, so by THursday, I'll only b on vitamins.
