can I have a normal period and have kids

I am 22 years old and me and my fiance want to have a baby and have been having unprotected sex for 7 months now and I took a few home pregnancy tests and two urine tests at the doctors was negative but we do have frequent sex. When I was 16 years old my parents had put me on Depo-vera and I haven't had a period the whole time on it but before that I had abnormal periods every other month and really heavy. I got off the Depo-vera when I was 18 and started to bleed heavy for 6 months straight I went to the doctor and they told me to take birth control pills and it did have my periods lighter and regularly for 3 months but I did make an mistake and took the pills but skipped the ones that made me come on my period.
Since my periods were regular I just decided to get off because at the time I didn't mind getting pregnant and I had two what I call normal periods and thats when I started having periods every 2 months I went to the doctor and they said I had discharge and that to take this medicine to clear it up it was unbalanced bacteria and I they gave me some medicine to take for 10 days with it and it will clear it up. I did that and the last day I came on my period and last a week and I haven't had a period since then and its been 5 months the doctors I've been to haven't been trying to help me and it makes it worst that I don't have insurance. I am really in need for help and I'm scared I have also had really bad abdominal pains for some years now and that went unexplained I was getting nauseous and wasn't eating as much but I am now taking prenatal vitamins and its been helping me with my appetite. So if anyone could help me please let me know anything would help.

It does sound like you have some health issues regarding your monthly cycle that you need to have addressed before you keep trying to conceive. I would see if you can get in to a county health center near you or some other clinic since you do not have insurance.  Also on that topic, if you do not have insurance nor funds to pay for the outrageous medical bills that come along with having a baby (delivery is typically around $10,000), it is probably best that you not be getting pregnant until one or both (insurance & funds) are in place.  I know it's hard when you really want a baby but the timing isn't right but if you really want what's best for your baby in the end, you will take care of yourself first, then try to conceive.  I am not judging for not being married or for not having insurance but it is not fair to the baby to try and get pregnant knowing that you may not be in a good place financially or in regard to your health.  Irregular cycles sometimes indicate Poly-cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) which usually means you'll need help getting pregnant with some type of medication, procedure, or both.  I don't have PCOS but a lot of women on here do so they would be a good resource for you.  I pray you get everything worked out and that you have your baby someday, just waiting through things is going to be best.
