charting ovulation confusion

My question is this month i could not track ovulation because i checked from 11th day to 17 day which i did not get smiley then i stopped tracked it thinking i missed tracking or it happened early or happens after 17th .now iam not feeling any cramps or PMsymptoms as today is my date of AF. If ovulation is late means AF will also show late or exact same dates. Actually i have regular AF every month never missed before it would be around 26-28 days .But now it is happening around 30 days exactly from 4 months. Iam Hypothyroid but my results are normal from 5 months. Does late ovulation means late Af ? .In april i got smiley on 14th day.

late ovulation can mean your period will be later or maybe not.  If you have a luteal phase defect you ovulate late but your period comes on time.  You may want to take a pregnancy test just in case and from what ive read the ovulation kits arent 100% for some people although they have been for me.

Wether you O or not you should see AF unless your hyothyriod has caused it somehow. IOPK's don't tell you if you ovulated for some people because even if you have a LH surge your temperature tells you if you ovulated. If you teset positive with a OPK then get a temp rise then you ovulated. Once ovulation AF should come between 10-14 days unless you have a luteal phase defect. Most times it is the follicular phase that is longer and that does not effect ovulation or your luteal phase. Hope this helps. Start tracking your CM, CP and temps!! That would tell you for sure! You can always take a HPT to see if you are just pregnant. :)
