This is what I read on my RE's website regarding Clomis and exercise:
"Some exercise is acceptable during treatment, but as the treatment cycle progresses only low impact exercise (walking) is recommended. The ovaries may become enlarged from the fertility medications you may be taking, and high impact exercise may put you at risk for ovarian torsion, where the ovary can twist on itself. This is very rare, but a serious side effect."
I'm on my 3rd round of Clomid 100mg. When I started it 3 cycles ago, I walked 2 1/2 hrs every day (1 hr 15 am & again in the evening). Suddenly after starting Clomid, I didn't want to get up in the morning to walk, didn't want to walk in the evening. I stopped exercising pretty quickly after beginning Clomid. It just made me so lethargic. I'm still struggling with getting myself motivated again. Don't know if anyone else had this reaction to Clomid, but I sure did.
So, I am glad to hear you still want to exercise! I don't think it would do any harm to keep exercising, probably good for you. Although I have heard running is hard on your ovaries when trying to conceive. (Don't know if its true)
Thankyou! am just stressing for no reason.
from what i remember when i was on clomid and metformin for pcos...you are supposed to follow a pretty strict diet...no sugar or carbs and exercise alot!!! i am confused why you think you wont ovulate if you exersise...i would think if anything exercising will make you lose weight and that will help with the pcos and that will help with ovulating....am i missing something to your story???
