Hi,
I too have PCOS and my husband recently had a sperm count and that was fine. I had a test to make sure my tubes were not blocked and that came out fine. The next step was to track my cycles and possibly be put on clomid. I recently moved to Puerto Rico and have to start seeing new doctors. So I feel a little frustrated about dealing with a new md but what can I do. Any advice about being on clomid? I think this is what I want to talk to my doctor about.

Hey girl!  I'm in a similar boat!  I just finished my first round of clomid, but I'm on 50mg.  I am 5dpo right now.  I used to ovulate around day 14, but with clomid it was day 20!!!  Crazy!  I highly suggest doing OPKs.  They take a lot of the guess work out of it.

My DH's sperm are fine too and our DR told us that we could BD as much as we wanted to. But when we thought I would ovulate...wait at least one full day.  So we waited a few days before O and then went crazy when we did O!  Hopefully it worked for us!  We find out on New Year's Eve!

With Clomid you shoud really use OPK as well. Clomid does have a tendency to make your ovulation alter and testing with OPK will help you pinpoint it. Most likely you already ovulated. When I took Clomid I o'd on cd 18 or 19.

Yes, you will still get a period even if you did not ovulate. Also it is recommended not to BD every other day. His swimmers need time to rest. :)  That is why an OPK comes in handy.

Ovulation pains usually last hours and or up to 2 days. Pain for a week does not sound like ovulation symptoms. Good luck next cycle and go pick up some ovulation predictor kits.

Ya never know tho, having sex that often may have fertilized an egg if you did O. So if period is late I would test.
