clomid cycles

Has anyone heard that the maximum amount of cycles of clomid you can be on is 12?  My dr said that 12 is the limit and I was wondering what the reasoning is behind it.  I can't find any research about it

that's a lot. I've heard that many doctors will only put you on 6 cycles and some even as little as 3. My doctor didn't really set a limit but I've heard those numbers on here. They don't like you to be on clomid for that long because it thins your lining and it's not good for your body for an extended period of time.
