hi everyone , pls i need help am on clomid CD5-9 and i just read on the internet that clomid can change your cycle even thogh u have aregularly one. i have a 27 /28 days cycle do u think it can change it. and also has any one with regularly period used clomid and got pregnant that same month pls i need ur help.
Yes, and its depends on each individual. I used to have irregular cycle, but when i was on clomid i always have 30 days cycle. The thing is clomid makes my uterus lining so thin that even though i was conceived, the eggs can't implant. make sure you monitor your lining each cycle. usually my doctor did sonogram on CD12 if you have OPK+. they keep track on follicles
Absolutley the clomid could change your cycles. they will typically be longer than usual and women typically will ovulate later in there cycle. When I was on clomid for 3 months this was how my clcles were/
Month 1- clomid 50mgs ovulated CD15, AF CD29.
Month 2- clomid 100mgs ovulated CD21, AF CD32
Month 3- Clomid 100mgs ovulated CD22, AF CD33
When I was on Clomid, it did make me ovulate later than usual. All of the literature I have read on Clomid says that you will ovulate anywhere from 5 to 10 days after you take your last pill. Therefore, in your case, you should O in between cd14 and cd19. Will your doctor be monitoring you with ultrasounds? If not, you might want to try OPK's to pinpoint when you will O since it affects everyone differently. Either way, just try to BD as much as you can beginning shortly after you take your last pill and continue for at least a week or two. Good luck to you!
Thanks for ur support but to be frank i normally ovulated just using it to see if i can increase my chance of getting pregnant cos have been trying for months do u think i will have side effects
I had normal cycle and ovulation regularly before clomid and also was regular when i used clomid 50mg. It didn't change anything. I don't even know why they gave it to me. I made one extra follicle
