I was prescribed provera by my doctor due to having PCOS to induce my period. He also prescribed clomid because my fiance and I are TTC. I started clomid on the 4th day of my cycle and day 10 one day after I finished taking clomid I experienced cramping all the way through day 11 also. My fiance and I had sex on those days but I am surprised that I may have ovulated so early. I hope I get preggos. I'll take a test in about a week to see but i'll have sex every other day in the meantime. Wish me luck. This is exciting yet overwhelming at the same time.

I started my period on the 2nd of July and started taking the clomid on the 4th.  I did the ovulation kit on the 6th and it showed a lh surge.  I was also cramping pretty bad.  My friend said I should not be ovulating cause I was still on my period.  Did I miss my ovulation?  I think I ovulated early.  How to know.

Determining how soon you ovulate after taking last pill depends on which days of your cycle you took the pill. For example if you took the pill cycle days 3-7 you should begin testing for ovulation around day 10 and actually ovulate between days 12-14.  If you have concernes as to when you will ovulate an over the counter ovulation predictor kit works wonders and can help you pinpoint the most fertile days. Clomid causes some pain around the time of ovulation. I am currently taking 50 m of clomid for the first time. I normally ovulate on my own but the doctors said this would increase the number of folicles. I am on day 10 of my cycle now and ready to start testing for ovulation. I have abdominal pain and pressure and general discomfort. Spoke to the doc. today and was told this is ok. I am 25 ttc for 3 years.

Ive had to much pain. If you are in a lot of pain, than your doc should change your meds. You should call your nurse and tell her. My doc said if it is bad, I needed to come in to get checked for enlargement of ovaries.

Hey, woman! I just responded to you on ma2isiah's OPK question, so you can find my OPK info there.

Also, I have read a couple of times on here that this is a pretty common side effect of ovulation. Some say they have a sharp pain but others have more of a cramping for a day or two. No fun!!!
