My Dr prescribe 50mg of clomid to start 5 days after my cycle start, 3 days in between there's no med or sex, within the next 5 days have sex every day or every other day, 6 to 5 days after have blood test.   Has any taken clomid and what was your results.

He didn't tell me that specifically but that puts you on about cycle day 14, and he did tell us to abstain before ovulation so I think that is where the three day wait comes in.

did you have a three day break before having sex after taking your last pill

My dr. had me take it starting on day 3, but some dr. like day 5 some like day 3. Then he had me use ovulation tests and he said that I should ovulate around day 14 and to try to abstain a few days before and thenonce I see my LH surge to have sex. I think every Dr. has their own way of doing things. I wondered the same thing when I first took it and heard so many different stories.

Hi I'm confussed about the instruction on taking clomid would you share with me your instructions from your Dr.  on taking clomid I have been reading so many different stories and I'm thinking my gosh maybe the instructions is being told to them wrong.
Does my instructions seem to be any close to yours.

I took Clomid with my first and got preg the first month. I am now trying for #2 and am on my second month of Clomid. I also had very little side effects, but it is different for everyone. Good luck

I did Clomid for 3 months this past Aug, Sep and Oct with no luck. I had lots of symptoms (night sweats, emotional issues and alittle blurry vision). But I have also heard many success stories on here. I went on to have an HSG last month so hoping that is what it takes. Good Luck and keep us posted! :)
