clomid

i will be starting clomid within the next 10 days and i am so confused about when i might ovulate. i have an irregular period and my gyno thinks i have PCOS, which means i probably dont ovualte on a monthly basis. i have been recording my temps and on day 10 it spiked, dropped for a few days about a degree then on day15 it spiked a degree and then dropped on day 16. Please help, i have no idea when i ovulated, if at all! can someonw offer advice, exp.,etc

If you haven;t seen a sustained temperature rise yet (three temps above your coverline), I would think you have yet to ovulate. In general, most women ovulate within 10 days of taking their last clomid pill.

As for knowing whether or not you ovulated, you could go by your temperature chart, or you could ask your doctor for a progesterone test about 7 days after ovulation.

THANKS... ?WHAT DOES 3 TEMPS ABOUT COVERLINE MEAN?    I NEED AN EXAMPLE. I DONT THINK I KNOW MY COVERLINE... TODAY IS CD8 AND MY LAST DAY OF CLOMID. I HAVE OVULATION KITS AND CHECKED MY LH SURGE YESTERDAY.. NONE PRESENT.. ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH THESE KITS? I TOOK ME ABOUT 10 TRIES TO GET IT RIGHT..

I am about to start my second round of clomid ttc my third child.  I was never able to detect my ovulation based on my temp with either previous pregnancy.  According to my ovulation test kit, I did not ovulate with round one till day 20!!!.  My Dr thinks it was a failure of the clomid and so he boosted my mg. from 50 to 100.  We are hoping for better results with this round.  Good luck!!

i am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best. my doctor started me at 100mg. so far no LH Surge.... thanks for the comment.
