clomid

What doe Clomid really help?  Can anyone tell me how successful in conceiving after taking the clomid? taking for how many cycle before conceiving. I am 37 healthy, had 2 kids 5 & 8. I am ready to have another baby,  I had tried 3 months now still not conceive, bbt showed that i had ovulation every month.  thanks

Hello.. yes clomid helps MANY MANY people get pregnant.. it helps produce one or more mature follicles to release..most obgyn's prescribe this without monitoring patients by ultrasounds etc... if you go to an RE then they typically will monitor you by ultrasound monthly to make sure your producing follicles, how many etc and ovulating.. usually they won't prescribe clomid until (if your over 35) you've been trying for 6 months or more.. as for a normal healthy couple it can take up to a year to conceive and thats totally normal!  good luck!
