Thank u andykk..yeah they will charge and now not knowing how many more ivf we need to do every money counts...yup i think i'll wait with all my qsn for the next ivf..
Our clinic does the consult before starting another cycle. I think they would do one after a failed one...to answer any questions...but I remember not wanting to step into the clinic for a bit after failing...feeling so discouraged...but after a few days of letting myself be down...I was ready to get it going again (but of course, they do charge for each and every one!! ugh). A consult could and should answer questions...but don't go unless you want to! If you are going to do another cycle, just wait until you are ready and do it then. All questions can be answered and a new protocol can be lined up. Good luck!! :O)
in that case i think i can have the consultation b4 starting my second ivf cycle
I found the consultation useful. Although the RE will not necessarily be able to tell you why your IVF failed, he/she will go over your medication protocol, how well you responded, and make recommendations based on that. With my first IVF, we had good egg retrival and fertilization for my age, but none of them were good quality. So for the second, we decided to increase and change the medication to try and "play the odds" to get as many eggs as we could with the hopes that one of them was better quality. Well, that protocol did not work at all for me in terms of number of eggs (I did get pregnant, but miscarried), so we are going back to the original stimulating medication, with the addition of baby aspirin and Heparin to help with implantation.
Well sometimes they don't know why! hope you get some closure
yeah just wated to know why it did not stick when every report were normal..
Not necessary but, think it would help you out with any unanswered questions! Good luck
