The last three betas were donr in the same lab. (I forgot to mention)
Ok im more confused, my level went down to 40 saturday and I started spotting for about 3 hours and it went away then sunday about 4 oclock started spotting again and lasted about 3 hours. Well I thought I was going to misscarry for sure. Then today Monday I had no spotting and my levels rose up agian to 80. This was ivf and my doctor transfered 4 embryos, does anyone think it might be a vanishing twin????? or at least do you think I have a chance I wont misscarry????? Help Please....
ok - that's confusing! Go back to the first lab and just stick with it - don't switch any more - even if you have to wait a few days for the result - good luck
Well I am more confused than ever. Now I have a third lab telling me im at 154.98 this was taken the same day as the one that said 80 I just got the results back. The reason I went to two labs the same day was because the lab that said 154.98 would take two days to return the results, well after I left the lab I couldnt wait 2 days so I went to another 4 hours later and they returned the results in 3 hours, these were the results that said 80. I AM SO CONFUSED AND WORRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow is another test day where do i go????????
I had to go to a different lab when getting my beta's and it caused some confusion. My Dr office called and told me that my 2nd test was invalid because it was a different lab and their equipment can be calibrated differently. So, they had me pick what lab I wanted to go to from then on and stick with it. Mine turned out ok. 166 and 80 seems like a big difference but I don't know how much different they can actually be. I would pick a lab and stick with it. If its the first lab then in 2 days you know it shoudl have doubled twice to be over 600, if the second lab then it should be over 160 in 2 days. Good luck!
That's tricky - there can be lab error - i've experienced that with my THS thyroid labs recently - 2 different labs - 2 days apart - 2 completely different results! I had to get labs done at a third place to determine which result was right.
I don't know however what criteria they use for measuring HCG.
Can you go back to the first lab and have them checked again. It is possible it could be a chemical pregnancy and the numbers are falling naturally. I hope it's lab error though -Good luck to you.
