does anyone know?

hi me and my hubby have been trying to coinceive for the past 6 months..i found out i have PCOS..and now takking Glucophage 500mg 3 times a day and on jan 6 i went tru surgery had a D&C and polypus taken out..im just wondering like has anyone been on glucophage got preg. before? and how long did it tke? since the D&C i havent had a period..and now the past couple weeks been feeling sick i dont know if its my period coming or could i even be preg? or is it too soon? please help!!!

I have PCOS and haven't been put on Glucophage as yet, but I have read and heard that the chances of conceiving and holding a prgnancy is very good in women with PCOS, while taking this drug.  I have requested my doctors put me on it.

Have you had any side affects from it?

i have a doctor app. monday to figure out if i need to take other medication...as far as side effects from the glucophage yes..i have had lots.. i was told that this helps you lose weight well in my case i have gained weight and feeling nausated..tired at times and frequent goin to the bathroom but everyone is different!! i hope next week he might put me on clomid maybe that will help!! thank you! and congras to you!! best of luck.

I have pcos and am on glucophage/metformin - 500 2x/day. I also took clomid (50 mg x 5 days, starting on day 3 of cycle) to help me ovulate and create good follicles. I am not sure this can be done with glucophage alone and many woman w/ PCOS do not ovulate.  I am now almost 7 weeks pregnant after 3 cycles of clomid and glucophage.

I have been on glucophage for 2 months. (I have PCOS and have not had a period in 6 months) I am suppose to take 500mg 2xday but it nauseates me so much that I only take one a day. I have lost 5lbs because I can't eat. All food makes me ill. I just had a follow up appointment and now the doctor wants me to take Clomid but I question how well that will work when I don't have a cycle. All I know is that the medicine is making it really hard to function. I am healthy person. I rarely take any prescription medicine. I just don't understant why I don't ovulate.
