droping iof HCG levels

Hi,

I had my et on 10/01, and did my blood wook after 9 days.
my doctor told me i am pregent, and need to come for again blood work, but now my reports says that my HCG is droping.

is this normal, can anyone help????

HCG numbers should continue to increase in early pregnancy by doubling every 2-3 days, so unfortunately if your levels are dropping that's not a good sign. However, if you had more than one embryo transferrred, there is a slight chance that your original numbers indicated multiples, and that you lost one, therefore the levels went down. When is your next appointment?
