early ovulation or late period

hello everyone, i started using an ovulation prediction kit recently. my last period was three days late (33 days instead of 30 days) and two separate ovulation tests showed a surge in FH on day six of the cycle. This seems very early and as my period was late I wonder..could this really be day nine...? I am normally quite regular, periods between 28 and 31 days but this year I have had two  "peaks" of 33 days each within six months. Appreciate thoughts and comments and would like to know if anyone has had the same combination (late period plus early ovulation).

That does seem really early. You should count 14 days after you ovulated and see if you start on that day or if your going to be late. And see when you ovulate next month to help you see whats going on. I think it works from ovulation not from your period. Good luck

I would think you would have had a late ovulation. My period was always 27 days and this month I ovulated one day late from when I was to ovulate and my period came one day late, so instead of 27 days it came 28 days.
