i was 8 weeks preg and didnt know what on earth was going on, i had sickness passing out, bleeding i thought i was going to die! they then took me for a scan on the monday morning where they couldent see the baby in my womb it was in my right tube which had ruptured, this caused internal bleeding and was rising up to my shoulders
. As long as you have an intact tube, you should be okay.
Were you doing fertility treatments at the time you got pregnant? Had you had a scan before the rupture occured? I would think if you had, they would have identified that there was no pregnancy in the uterus and would have known you had an ectopic, but I don't know for sure about these things...
hi i werent doing treatment i got pregnant naturally, and the scan was only to take place at 12 weeks i was 8wk but the baby had already got too big for the tube so it ruptured but when i went down for a scan when i started having problems it was too late and i had internal bleeding! thanx 4 ur reasurrance xx
Hi honey omg i so sympathise with you.I had an eptopic 5 years ago and at the time i was an air hostess and the pressure from fyling had actually caused this to happen to me.I was in pain every day and spotting with a horrid ache in my neck.I was nearly passing out when i eventually went to the doctors it was 7 weeks and i was on a trans atlantic flight at the time. They got it in time and i was so lucky.I knew nothing about an eptopic and still not sure how or why it happened to me.You will get through it in time.Love and best wishes Bev xx
thank you, i know it was 3 years ago now, i am still ttc although didnt try for the first year to give my body a rest, its a terrible thing, the pain is unbelievable, you were so so lucky xx
Hi hun yes the pain is the most painfull i have ever felt.I was lucky because if it had burst on my flight in the air then i could have died as you need to get to hospital ASAP as you well know.I am scared that if i get pregnant it could happen again as the risk is higher when you have already had an eptopic. But did you know that the remaining tube works twice as hard to compensate the loss?i only found that out recently.Bev xx
I had an ectopic pregnancy May of 2010... I didn't know what the even was.. I have an 11yr old daughter already and me and my husband was trying to get pregnant. I found out I was 4weeks pregnant and a week later I started bleeding.. I went to the ER and they said I might have a miscarriage.. so a week went by bleeding stopped but my right side was hurting very bad.when back to my doctor she told me about the ectopic pregnancy and said she had to give me a shot to terminate my pregnancy. Got the shot 2 more weeks went on with off and on bleeding and cramps.. didn't pass the baby. Doctor kept running blood work and I was still pregnant. Finally at 9weeks I was in pain so bad I couldn't walk this was at nite so I waited until the morning. Went to my doctor she said I was internally bleeding. Rushed me to surgery while in surgery found out my appendix ruptured and had to remove it and my right tube. I am soo lucky to be alive and I thank God everyday!! But now I'm 4weeks and 5days pregnant have some back pain and hoping I don't go thru all that again or have a miscarriage! :(
