eggwhite mucus two days after thermal shift?

Hey all.  Another hopefully quick question.  I noticed last month that I got eggwhite mucus about 4 days after ovulation...obviously didn't get pregnant.  This month I am only 2 days past the thermal shift of ovulation and both months the opk agreed with the shift.  I am not sure what to make of this.  I actually don't get as much eggwhite before ovulation as I do a few days after the shift.  My highest temp before ovulation was 96.8 with most being around 96.5-96.8.  The day after ovulation which I suspect was about 9pm saturday due to major pains in right pelvic area went up to 97.05 and then today was 97.33.  So clearly I have shifted in temps.  What does this mean?  Anyone experience something similar?  We BD'd for 5 days before O and 1 day after.  I want to give him a day off!  Thanks!
