Sorry to hear that your doctor treats you that way. You are suppose to ask as many question as  you like, without feeling like you are doing something wrong.
I dont know what the procedures are where you live, but you can either get a referral to a specialist. Or you can find one on your own and have this current doctors send all your records to them.. I would also get a new a OBGYN. . you should keep your follow up on the 2oth, but in the mean time start looking for a new OBGYN. Maybe ask friends or family to recommend someone they use

But i would definitely go see a fertility specialist. They will run a lot test to see what your options are, and where you should go from there.

Dont ever feel silly to ask a question, we all are here for you. Most of us here being through the whole trying to conceive process, or still going thru it.

I will keep you in my prayers!!!!! good luck!!!

yes im not happy with my doctor, things are just so slow.
what other options do i have without removing the ovary? im sure he will just say the ovary needs taken out. i dont even get asked about anything, its like he is the boss of my body!! and if i say anything, the "looks" that he gives me, as if "why did you speak" honestly, i feel i dont have a say!!
i dont want the ovary out, i feel that ive been trying for so long and now they want to take a peice of that away!
i really need to wake up now. thanks you guys, i feel like crying now because ive let this problem go on for so long, and its me really that hasnt done anything to change it.  i need to change the doctor. i need to ask for a fertlilty specialist.
durban, what treatment were you on while they were monitorng your cysts?
also, this sounds daft but, is it the receptionist i ask for a different doctor, or do i say something to the present doctor that i want to change? now ive typed that out its sounds silly asking, the receptionist right?
my follow up is on the 20th so i shall keep you all posted! hopefully with a new doctor!! x

I forgot to mention I was on treatment and they monitored the cysts. If your doc hasn't done testing with you I suggest finding a new one. (Best thing I've done ever)

Hey hun, my docs treat my cysts with laser. Personally I won't have them removed just for cysts. I have had cysts since I was 19 and I am 30 years old now, I have managed to get them to shrink with alternative methods. Have a look at all your options. I think u should really think again about having it removed. Have a 2nd and 3rd option before making a decision. Its a very big decision to remove an ovary and not an easy one. Hope u get some answers soon. Ps. Lots of woman fall pregnant with cysts, I'm one of those, even though I mc (not related) and that was 4 months after my lapscop. Good luck

My fertility doctor removed my cysts, before I started my IVF Treatment.. My doctor said there was a chance they probably would come back, but he didnt mention anything about taking out the ovaries. And i didnt have a wait a whole year to start IVF. Just my opinion,i think you should change your doctor, because you dont sound like you are to happy with the doc, , and your doctor should of recommend  a fertily doc to you by now, especially since you have been trying for a couple of years.

Keep us posted!! and good luck

i so want to speed up the process! im 29!
the first cyst they just removed it, it came back and has been removed again. the doctor said if it comes back yet again the ovary will be removed as the cyst will continue to come back. i feel it has come back but my follow up is very soon, so i see then if it has come back and not just in my head. the surgeon also said there was a good chance it would come back.
im so tired of cysts! i cannot do another year of waiting for surgery. another year of no help! i want the process to begin now, so if i know others have had help while having cysts then i need to change my doctor, ive been with my obgyno for five years, but he seems not interested at all. there have been no tests at all, no hormone tests, semen analisis or even an infertility test and so on.  should i change my doctor? surely i should have had some help by now, dont you think?

Ovary removed due to cyst????? Couldn't they just remove the cyst? How old are you? Do you ovulate naturally? Are you seeing an OBGYN? You may want to see a fertility specialist.

5 years seems good enough time. You got to speed up the process now. good luck,
