follicle size on day 12

i had u/s on day 12 of my cycle. both ovaries had 8 follicles each. the size of the largest follicle was 10 mm while another follicle was 6 mm. we are still not planning a baby but the doctor has told us to start trying and wait for a year before going for medication. what are the implications and solutions of this situation?

8 folliciles on each side sounds pretty good to me.  I am not sure of your age but if you are in mid 30's then yes, I would start trying.

you are young. follicles are good in count. i suggest its better to have first baby before 30 and you could wait for the next few years. as long as your periods are regular and as long as you ovulate well; it should be good.

we already have a 4 year old baby thank God. we were planning a second one and i was worried about my u/s report and my chances of conceiving again bcos my doctor sounded really grim. also the size of my follicles on the 12th day of my cycle is a problem. shudnt the follicles be bigger than this on the 12th day of the cycle?

oh you are a mother already :) good. for me; DOC did follicles test on cycle day 2 of my AF.2nd or 3rd day of the cycle; we get more better hormone numbers

u mentioned that i should ovulate well but doesnt my u/s report show that i m not ovulating well. i mean arent my follicles way too small on the 12th day of my cycle? shouldnt they be somewhere between 16mm to 18 mm to rupture in a couple of days?
