follicle sizes

I am having an IUI done this cycle with hcg trigger shot. I go on the 22nd for my 2nd u/s...which would be cd 9. I was just curious of what should be the size of the follicle on cd 9?? Just wondering what others follies were on cd 9....Thanks....I love this site....it has so much info :)

On CD 9 mine were 11.5 and 12.5...I think...they've been growing all week.  Today is CD 12 and I have one that is 20, one that is 15.5 and one that is 16.5.  I'm hoping tomorrow they are a little bigger.  Good luck to you!

are you having an IUI done too?? I went on cd 3 and they said I had some follies and I can't wait to go back monday and see what is going on in there....Does the hcg shot only make the maturist one release?? Good luck to you too!!

Okay...so I don't know that much.  I'm still learning also but I do know that if more than one follicle is mature they can produce eggs.  I asked my RE that question today.  He said that is how you end up with twins.  My 20 mm came out of no where.  I think the nurse practioner must have missed it b/c one day it wasn't there and the next day it was a 20.  They are holding off on me until the other ones grow. They are thinking tomorrow is my day??  I'm not having IUI done.  The doctor tried to talk me into it today but I think we are going to try naturally this month and see how it goes.  I'm not too sure what the trigger shot does...but I'm getting it...haha

to my understanding the trigger shot makes you ovualte within 24-36 hours after taking it...My Dr just wanted to do the IUI with me just saying that I am Oing, but every cycle seems to be different for me. Some cycles I O on day 14, others are day 16 and even day 20...So I decided to go with the trigger shot...I hope everything works out, but if not there is next cycle and I will try that with clomid...I'm still learning too ....so much stuff that you need to know huh?....lol
