for those who have done ivf

girls i wanted to ask you something.I'm about to start my second ivf cycle. This time it will be the short cycle cause with the regulaer one we had no luck.During the first time my hair thinned out a lot, specially on the crown area. And i'm afraid it will happen again. My re said that maybe no and that the reason for it is stress but i don't think so cause i started losing hair when i started the injections.I found online that his happens when the ovaries produce many eggs thus producing a higher level of testosterone. Has this happened to anyone?

I want to say that IVF meds CAN cause hair loss for certain. My doctor confirmed it with me and said while it is not as common they can have that side effect.

I should know because on Menopur, Femara and other drugs my hair has massively massively fallen out. It has been SO distressing and upsetting, beyond words. Simply horrible to have this problem on top of infertility.

I don't think I can even continue this side effects are so bad. I just wanted to have this posted for all of you who are being told it is "stress' and does not happen etc. That is the wrong info, it 100% happens and is happening to me, And is not from low progesterone! It is from IVF meds like Femara, Estrogen Patch, Menopur.

It didn't happen to me either. I guess your hair loss was due to stress. This whole thing is very stressful, which is bad when you are ttc. Good luck to you, try not to stress. You are doing all you can and god will soon answer your prayers.
