frozen cycle

i was wondering if anybody can tell me what a frozen cycle's protocol is? also i have 6 frozen eggs, would they thaw all 6, or just the ones i would be transfering? thank u..

With mine, they weren't frozen blast, that's why they were probably frozen in 4's.  they thawed all 4, and transfered what survived.  I had 3 transfered the first time, fell pregnant, but sadly miscarred.  We have 7 left.

Mine were frozen in vials of two. I was told that they thaw one vial at a time. It only takes minutes to thaw so if they thaw two and one isnt great they could grab another vial before the transfer without an issue.  If the embryos are in good condition they can refreeze without a problem. They label them from the best to the not so great quality so they thaw the best ones first. For us the first vial they thawed were perfect.

I am currently 29 weeks pregnant with twins from a FET a month after my failed fresh cycle.  The FET is soooo much easier then a fresh cycle but I dont remember exact details. GOOD LUCK!!!!!! :-)

I think they start by just thawing one batch...and then only thaw another one if the first batch don't make it. Mine are frozen in two's, I think.

so when u say they froze them in bunches, did they unfreeze 4 @ one time and transfer all 4? how does that work? i don't want them to unfreeze all 6 of my babies, only transfer 2 and discard the remaining 4! i know some people say 6 eggs are a lot but i originally had 29. 6 were frozen, 3 didn't make it, 20 were left. out of 20 eggs they transfered 2 and all the rest didn't make it...

They usually freeze them in bunches.  Mine were all 4 in a bunch and 1 bunch of 3.
