how effective is Gonal-f injectibles..your stories are big of help..im having my medical work up and my RE gave me this injectibles..tnx in advance!

I responded very well to them .. I had about 25 follicles retrieved and 18 of them fertilized.  I was on Gonal-F and Menopur.

Different people respond very differently to the same drug.  I responded really well to Gonal-F but everything depends on your FSH and the dosage.

I had Gonal-F, found it great - 18 mature eggs and 12 fertilised, 6 went to blasto.  Sadly I got a BFN on Monday, ready to try again in Jan.  Good luck

i responded very well Im currently 23weeks pregnant after my last round of gonal-f. we were pregnant with twins but sadly lost one early on but now my singleton is going great! good luck!

to all of you..thank you for sharing ur stories regarding GONAL-f....in your experience how many GONAL-f you consumed b4 you got pregnant?..as for me i already finished my 450 iu..im on my 300 iu now..tnx again..

wow 450 that's high.. the first ivf was 150.. failed, seocnd IVF 300, awaiting results but outcome not so good..
this time i consumed 2(900) 2 (300) total shots: 8 shots. plus the trigger shot

Hi there, that seems really high to me as well. I was on 150 in the morning and 150 in the evening with 75 menopur.

As Helen72 said, everyone responds differently.  I was on 900 units of gonalf (450 am and pm) for over 15 days.  I got 3 mature follicles, two fertilized, but unfortunately none of them implanted.

I am doing Gonal-F 450. This is my 2nd IVF. 1st IVF produced only 2 follicles and 1 egg which didn't fertilize. I go tomorrow for my u/s and b/w to see if the up in Gonal-F has changed things this time around. 1st one I was at 300.  Andrea

i am 36, married for 3 years, blocked fallopian tube & has endometriosis. had a gonal f shot at 225 ui for 5 days but no respond, it was increased to 375 for 3 days, still no respond . . cycle was abandoned for supposed to be an ivf procedure . .. why am i not responding to this med, no follicles seen and very low level of estradiol?
i was advised my my fertility doc to increase the dosage on the next cycle which 450 ui.

Sorry but what i mean that i take 75iu per day(450iu is equal to 6 shots or 75 iu per day)..well as of now responds yet..i have a very poor quality eggs..so sad..
