It isn't always too late. Some women do implant later or o'd later than they thought. The bad thing with later implantation is that the rate of m/c goes way up implant after 10dpo and increased every day after. I don't have the % in front of me, it's at work. But, it seems like implant at 12dpo carries a 70% m/c rate. Of course, a lot of women think they implanted on 12dpo, but looking at their charts, it likely they o'd a couple of days later than where it's marked.
Yeah, but even if I implanted today or even 1-2 days ago, it still could be too soon to test, right?
Of course it could be too early. Especially if you had the yes or no test. Those are no better than a medium sensivity HPT.
You'll still have to test again if your period doesn't show.
On average girls implant 8-10 dpo. Let's say you inplanted day 10. It takes around a day or so to get HCG in your blood. There's definitely hope. You'll just have to wait till day 14 which I'm betting will be positive for you:)
As soon as implant occurs, the placenta begins producing Hcg. On a quantative blood test it will show up within a day or 2. Did they tell you what they # was? Even though over 5 is considered pg, a lot of drs won't call it pos until 25.
It ain't over till the BFAF sings. There is still a chance. 10 dpo is really early and depending on your situation, you may not even know for sure the day you ovulated. Hang in there and test again in a couple of days. Best of luck to you.
Thanks ladies - I still have hope. I've been on clomid 3 months now and this is the first month it worked and I ovulated. Tonight I felt like I was having a bad drug trip or something and went through a whirlwind of symptoms and emotions in about three hours. It hit me like a ton of bricks. First my nipples spontaneously felt like they were on fire (sorry if TMI), then I was exhausted, then my hands started shaking and I thought I should eat, then I ate and I was nauseous, then I wanted to cry for absolutely no reason (could be from the clomid too), then I was dizzy, then I wanted to kill my husband for not doing the dishes, then exhausted and uncomfortable again. So... who knows???? I've never experienced anything like that before, even on the clomid which I didn't handle well at all the first 2 rounds.
Thanks for the support! :o)
