hcg for weight loss??

i recently read that kevin trudeau has a book which recommends hcg shots for weight loss.  seeing that many of you ladies are undergoing fertility treatments (myself included) has anyone noticed weightloss since getting hcg injections??  just curious.

I'm not going through the treatments but, noticed on the weight loss forum it seems to be all the rage. I guess I live in the dark ages, I'd never heard of it. lol

My dh's cousin did that and it really seemed to help her lose weight.  I don't know all the details other than she took hcg injections.
