hcg level 2 weeks after m/c

hi, sorry I have to post it here too..I posted it on 35+ forum....

I had a m/c on Nov. 20, my level was 1500, then on nov. 27, my level was the same..
I believe i passed everything out.. so now I had another blood work this am and my level down to 6.. I am waiting to get it down to 0 so they can start testing... i guess i just don't have a patience right now.. its hard enough to know that I cannot concieve(sp) naturally.. but its even harder to find out that I cannot carry the baby to term ( 2 m/cs)..

do you think its normal that my level just went down to 6 after 2 weeks? my level never got too high ( just went up to 1508) then m/c..

thank you so much ladies...goodluck to all of you..

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.
I had a miscarriage the same day you did (Nov 20)... my first time being pregnant, and I lost it at 7 weeks.  It's gut-wrenching to go through.
From what you said (combined with all the other ladies' advice) it sounds like you should be ok, in terms of your HCG levels dropping.  I didn't have my levels checked the day I had the m/c, but a week prior I was at 1,228 and I dropped down to 58 within 11 days from that last test result (and a week after that I was in the "negative", which I guess is good).  So like Heather5 said, I'm betting you'll be back to normal real soon.
I'm wishing you the best of luck.

I too am so sorry for your loss. I've had two miscarriages as well. With the first, I had a D&C, but with the second I had a natural miscarriage. With the latter, they kept checking my HCG levels to make sure they went back down, and it took about two weeks (from 1325 down to normal). I believe they say anything below 5 is considered not pregnant, so you're almost there. I bet you'll be back to normal within the next day or so. Take care!

Sorry about your loss. Take care of yourself. This was my first cycle of IVF, got pregnant but  miscarried on November 22nd. This is my second M/C.  I haven't checked my HCG till now. I have an appointment on the 11th and then she said she might tell me to get the blood work done.

My Hcg was around 200,000 when I mc at 12 wks. It only took 2wks for mine to come down, too. I guess it's something in this game to be thankful for. Some women have a hard time getting it back down and it takes months. Since you noted that you also posted on the 35+ forum, it leads me to believe you are over 35? If so, that can be a portion of your problem as well as mine. The older we get the harder it gets. The mc I had at 12wks was a healthy baby and the loss was due to strain. However, I have since had 2 very early mc due to bad eggs. If age is a factor, this may be the case for you as well. Have you had any tests run? FSH, Lh, E2?

I will try again next year. I don't want to pass the holidays going to the doctors and having haedaches for hcg levels and everything else. I want to do be calm for some time cause i'm so tired mentally and physically. Next week i have an appointment with my Re for the blood results. But for the moment he put me on baby aspirin and also not to stop the vitamins.

thank you so much for your comforting words... I know it is so painful dealing this stuff..

I can relate to a lot of women here... this is the thing that you don;t wish to happen even to your enemies ..  you're right about it..

thats good that they were able to find something wrong between you and your hubby.. so next time you will know what to do... are you on any fertility meds? when are you going to ttc again?

Goodluck... and keep us updated...

I'm sorry for your m/c. I also had two this year, the second one on October.I cannot conceve on my own cause i cannot ovulate, and the two times i got pregnant i was so happy but all the happynes was invane. My hcg level went 0.6 on 5 days after the miscarriage so it's normal for your level to be like that. I already did the tests to see if we have any problem. We had an chromosomal test for me and my husband, and also antibodies and mthfr for me. It's a good thing that you to do those tests before you get pregnant again, even if your RE says no.With the second pregnancy the RE put me on bed rest but it didn't do any good. It's already frustrating not to conceve on your own but also miscarrie it's unberable. I'm so sorry again it's a thing that i don't wish it not to my enemie. God luck next time. We both will need it.

I am sorry about your recent m/c.  I hope I do have a good answer for you on this.  Each of us don't have any more patience at all.  Months after Months of trying and still not able to conceive, it's frustrated and to the point you are getting angry at yourself as well as people around you.

It's normal and don't give up.  maybe you should bedrest when you are pregnant to pass the first trimester.  have your dr let you know why you can't keep baby in term.

good luck.
