Hi, just wanted to let you know that now I'm not pregnant, according to my beta.  It showed a negative result.  Still wondering why...I'll check in soon.

Please don't stress, I think mine had a lot to do with it. I was so stressed that I dreamed about getting my AF. I was also told it was late implant, and what's weird I never got my AF till doctor said stop taking progesterone.you are fine anything over 15 is good that early, and they will double. I ll keep you in my prayers.

Just read through the heartaches and disappointments with low starting betas.  Mine was at 20 this past Wednesday (3/9) and I go again on Monday (3/14). I've done the IUI thing a handful of times, and had a failed IVF with my own eggs (or egg I should say), and this cycle I used a donor egg.  Not sure if that could be a reason for  low starting point.  Prog. level was at 14, also kind of low.  So even though we had a BFP, I am weary about being pregnant.  I never have been, so I don't know what I should be feeling.  Just going on hope and faith right now.
Thanks for listening...

Oh, majja, I'm so sorry to hear that your levels dropped and now it's a negative. :(  I cry with you.  The first time we did IVF it was negative.  And we had tried for seven years on our own before trying IVF.  So I know the heartache that a BFN will bring.

I don't want to hijack the thread, but the title of it is "hcg levels" so I wanted to post mine.  I finally gave in and called the clinic and asked for my numbers.  The first beta test (which was 9 days post transfer) was 63 and the next beta test (12 days post transfer) was 258!  So I'm guessing those are good numbers?? Seems like they are, so  I was very happy and relieved to hear it!

Thanks for all the support in this thread.  And again, I'm so sorry for those going through the heartache of the BFN's.  Keep trying!!! And don't lose hope!!

Hope you have better luck than I did.  BFN yesterday.  Looks like my numbers were going down when we caught it last week.  But it's ok, I'm a little sad, but I look at it from the perspective that at least I got pregnant and that is a first.  Prayers, luck, and baby dust to you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like you and I are very close!  I had my retrieval on the 3rd with a 5day transfer on the 8th.  My first beta was 9, very low, but we are testing again tomorrow.  My doc said he had just done an U/S and detected a heartbeat on a mom whose beta started at 6.  I am also having the dark brown spotting for about 2 days now.  Good luck to you!!!!!!!!

Brown spotting can be okay.  If it turns bright red, then it is a problem.  Make sure to mention it at the doctor tomorrow.  Hoping your HCG is sky high.

It more than doubled again so that is great news!  HCG numbers vary so greatly that you can't compare them to anyone else's,  You just have to compare them to themselves.  Hopefully Monday's numbers will help ease your mind.

It is completely normal to be getting period like cramps in early pregnancy.  It can be good news with your uterus stretching.  Good luck to you!
