hcg levels ---please help!

hcg levels ---please help!

My hcg at 5w 4d was 24,000+.  Progesterone was 20.2.  I was very happy with those #s (except I thought the progesterone was "borderline"), but the hcg was great.
At my second draw, 72 hrs later, @ 6 wks, my hcg had only gone up to 32,000.  I was devastated.  But the nurse told me that sometimes once the #s get "that high", they double more slowly.

Also, last night, after hearing my bloodwork results, I started spotting just the tiniest bit, :(

Does anyone have any experience with this?  I would love to hear them.

That's not a necessarily a bad sign or anything. The nurse is right, I've heard of this that once they reach a certain high levels, they don't double as fast. Just remember it's not how fast the number rises, it's the fact that it's rising at all...which it is, so that's a good thing.
