hcg levels and possible blighted ovum

My dr.'s office just called and said my hcg levels that they took at my last u/s (at 8 weeks) jumped to 9,000.  For 8 weeks they said that that's in the range although on the low end but I've been on the low end this whole time.  I'm just wondering if I do have a blighted ovum I know your levels can continue to rise but would they be rising this much?  My levels just under 2 weeks before were 2,640.  With my last b/o they were hardly going up at all at this point.  I'm so confused.......

I know that a blighted ovum can cause levels to increase, although not properly.  Because the placenta is still developing, it is producing hcg continuosly.  When is your next u/s?  This waiting game isn't fair sometimes!

I go for an u/s tomorrow morning.  I'm sure it probably is a blighted ovum but your right the waiting game just stinks.  The fact that my preg. symptoms are still pretty strong and my levels continue to rise is frusterating too.  Thanks!
