2 weeks ago hcg levels went from 900 to 230 and today i went and took another blood test. I am a college student with no money to pay for the doctors bill. what happens if i dont go back to get blood tests monitored and just let it drop on its own? i should just get my period when they go back to zero and ill be ok right?
When I miscarried most recently, I did so at the ER, and then was sent home. I bled a bit afterwards but nothing big. But my hCG counts stayed in the 250 range for over a month. No obvious symptom that a little dab of placenta
, plus the hCG counts staying high. Sorry that this is not more helpful, I'm just saying that I wouldn't be sure I was in the clear until I had an hCG test that reads 0. I wound up needing a D&C to get that last tissue out.
is complete. If not, the numbers won't drop (or won't drop very fast) and your periods might be iffy. If you don't at least have a blood test that confirms a 0 (or below 5), you won't know if all the tissue passed out of your system.

don't worry you will be fine !

You might be able to tell a lot (at least to narrow it down to only one more doctor visit for an hCG count) by using Dollar Store pregnancy tests. They are surprisingly sensitive given their low cost (I hear they will register with only a count of 25). If you use one and it says positive, don't waste your money at the doctor's yet. When you get to the point where you aren't registering on them, if you then have a period, you could pretty confidently go to the doc for one last blood draw just to confirm that you're clear.
this week and now bleeding a bit more but not as much as a regular period. Is that normal after the miscarriage? maybe bc i lost a lot of blood during the miscarriage?
