My Reproductive Endocrinologist has been giving me progesterone suppositories during the latter half of my menstrual cycle to help the implantation process should I conceive. (My progesterone is not really low, but at age 46, there's no harm in helping things along!) After 12 days of these supplements, I go in to get an hcg/progesterone blood test. So yesterday, at 14 days past ovulation, my numbers came back as hcg 27, progesterone 27. The nurse said at 3 weeks, 3 days since my last menstrual period, it's too early to tell if this pregnancy is successful or not. Does anyone recall what your hcg number was very early on? I was pregnant last spring, and my progesterone never got any higher than 24 even with progesterone supplements, so I'm hopeful maybe the high early progesterone number is a good sign? I will be retested Monday, but any hopeful news in the meantime would help me relax....Thanks!
My RE told me they like to see it around 100 at 14dpo BUT that is text book case.. many women implant later than others... and if you o'ed just one or two days after you thought you did, that can also make a difference. At this point, I think it is really early and you shouldn't worry about the single number.. wait and see how they go up..
I had a hcg of 24, I am 10post 5dt. My prog was 31. Just waiting until Tuesday to see if doubles. The numbers of hcg don't mean as much as if the numbers double in 2 days.
Baby dust to all.
